What is the 160th SOAR?
Members and Rankings

U.S. Army

Find out how 160th SOAR ranks their members and how they get promos.

When ranking players, they will automatically go to the enlisted rank. In order to become an officer, you need to apply for Officer Candidate School (OCS.) This is a special training course/test that is very competitive and most everyone that tries the first time will fail. This test is very tough and every requirement on that test must be met. For example, if you need to hit a target five times consecutively and you miss on the third one, you have failed the officers test and have been dropped out of Officer Candidate School. Only when I think you're prepared enough to try out again for OCS, is when you will be able to try out. This may be in a week or this may be in months.

There also can only be one Sergeant Major of the Army and one General of the Army. The General of the Army is in commanding lead and is the clan leader. Anything that he/she says happens.

When taking orders, you can only take orders from a higher ranked member, unless under extreme circumstances. Enlisted members may not give orders to officers, but can give them suggestions. Officers can give officers and enlisted members orders, but enlisted members can only give enlisted members orders, even if the enlisted members importance is higher than an officers.

The Sergeant Major of the Army is basically in control of the enlisted members. The General of the Army is in control of both the Officers and the Enlisted, but the Sergeant Major of the Army can give any order to any enlisted member. If the SMA wants something changed in the enlisted, it will have to pass the GOA first.

As far as promotions go, I (GOA CL Ghost) will only give you a promotion if I think you are ready and mature enough to handle the responsibilities of becoming a higher ranking member. 160th SOAR does not screw around. Sure we may have a clan scrimage and laugh it up, but when it comes to battling other clans, you soldier better be on your toes and ready to fight for you clan. If other members (of any rank) think a member deserves a promotion, I will personally judge the member and see for myself.

I judge by many criterias, not just on skill alone. I am looking for skill, leadership, responsibility, and friendliness and respect towards other members of 160th SOAR. If you are caught putting anyone down of any rank, you will automatically be demoted one rank lower. If you are caught a second time putting a member down, you will be demoted two ranks lower. If you are caught a third time, you will be temporarily suspended from 160th SOAR until you get your act together. When you come back from suspension, you will be on probation for as long as I think you need. When you're on probation, you must behave like a little school girl. Because one slip-up while on probation will get you permenantly booted from 160th SOAR with no chance or ever coming back. It is ok to laugh and joke about other members. But there is a fine line where joking and making fun of meet. I will decide where that line is if and when the time comes.
