The entry to the Andover Bird Sanctuary welcomes visitors to walk through an naturalized setting containing Rhododendron species. The pathways are lined by R. kaempferi, R. calendulaceum, R. minus, R. maximum, and R. catawbiense. There is mountain laurel (Kalmia latifolia) as well under a canopy of white pines, hemlocks, larch, oaks, and hickories.
