During the late 1980's and early 1990's Johnny Belch and The Burpettes released 3 classic offerings on audio cassette. Johnny formed the Burpettes in 1988 and their debut release "Regards" in 1989 elevated them straight into cult status and the cassettes quickly became a much sought-after collectors item.
They followed up with "Get Down and Burp" in 1990 and then reached their zenith with "Bop Til You Burp" in 1991.
Johnny Belch and The Burpettes went their separate ways in the mid-to-late 1990's. Their cassettes are no longer available, but thanks to the digital advances of the 21st century, they have been compiled into a "best of" collection and released on CD as Burpster.
During the reunion sessions for the mastering of Burpster they discovered that the passion for playing together had been rekindled and they re-recorded their first hit "Regards" and a new song "Whistle while you burp".
The interest in Burpster saw Johnny Belch and The Burpettes back in the studios and the result is their most polished product yet - "Fart in a bottle".
