Vital Information for New and Current Patients
Regardles of what your reason for being here, a chiropractic
spinal checkup and spinal adjustment will help incite the inner healer in you and improve your healing ability.
For first-time visitors, please
keep in mind that there are 3 Phases of Chiropractic Care you must observe:
(1) Intensive Care Phase. Your spine is out of balance and not holding its adjustment. Please cooperate in keeping your appointments and
modifying your lifestyle in ways that will get you out of the intensive care phase quickly.
(2) Reconstructive Phase. Many
of your symptoms and complaints may have disappeared or decreased. It is critical, however, that you continue your visits
with us even if you seem to be feeling better. Your spine is beginning to stablize
and "hold" its adjustment for longer periods. In this phase, our primary objective is to monitor your spine while it strenghtens.
(3) Maintenenace Phase. Your
spine is now holding its adjustment and has become reasonably stable. It is handling stress very well. But remember, your
body is like a car that needs preventive maintenance, its oil needs to be checked and changed, its tires rotated, in order
to be in working order. You may not know if you have any brewing subluxations, so you are definitely encouraged to come
and see us for a subluxation checkup every month.
Many have made the mistake of believing they
are permanently healed after leaving our office without any pain, during their first or second visit. The truth is, Chiropractic
does not do miraculous healing; your body does the healing, chiropractic simply removes the interferance hindering the body
from doing the duties it was designed to perform.

"When Will I Get Better?"
Too often, people mistake treatment in general as a one-time visit or two. As the
3 Phases of Chiropractic care asserts, Chiropractic is an ongoing process of treatment, treatment, which in the
realm of Chiropractic, denotes prevention of diseases and maintenance of health and wellness. It is true that there had
been cases wherein, people undergoing certain medical problems, recovered after one visit, even those who had suffered for
over a decade or so. Nonetheless, most medical problems need continuity with their treatment. Many make the
mistake of coming to their doctor of chiropractic when illness, discomfort, or injury has become severe and debilitating.
What makes matters worse, they expect that after one visit their suffering will be gone. Like magic! There are those,
too, who, after seeing their chiropractic physicians for a considerably longer time and only gaining partial
recovery, develop warped conception that chiropractic could not remedy ailments. In other words, they begrudge their doctors
of chiropractic. First, one must remember, in chiropractic, it took years of poor choices, bad habits, and neglect to
lose your health, it will take some time to regain your health. Be patient and do your part: keep your appointments,
take a multi-vitamin, exercise, and a healthy diet with lots of vegetables and fruits.
"Will I have to keep going for the rest of my life?"
Please note, a common misconception about chiropractic is that once you start
treatment, you will have to continue for the rest of your life. It is always up to you how much or how long you wish
to benefit from chiropractic care. Chiropractic care is comparable to any regular healthy habit, ie. bathing, brushing,
exercising, eating, praying- you need to make it part of your routine to continue enjoying the benefits! YOU DON'T HAVE
TO KEEP GOING TO THE CHIROPRACTOR ONCE YOU START, YOU'LL FEEL SO GOOD YOU WILL WANT TO COME BACK!!! Chiropractic care
is a family affair!
"To take the path of healing
is to directly participate in life," (Stephen Levine).
