Sara

Sara was filmed entirely in Washington, D.C., directed by Dolores Smith, co-produced by Dolores Smith and Elizabeth Lytle, and stars locally acclaimed actress and director, the late Paula Gruskiewicz. Not only is Sara an intimate, moving story of the personal and professional struggles of aging artists, the film also blends a deeply poetic exploration of trust and stress among lifelong friends as they navigate the uncharted waters of mid-life with an unvarnished look at the often invisible world of lesbians entering the prime of their lives.
