The call finally came on August 22, 2002.  I heard my phone ringing from my managers office, but I was "sure" it wasn't for me!  But, I picked up the voice mail -- and it was WACAP!

I received updated medical information on the 26th, and at 9.5 months, she is 26" long, and weighs approximately 20 lbs.  Gong is the family name given to all kids from the Child Welfare Institute in Pingnan.  Jia Fang translates as "to place with a family" -- reflecting the desire of the director of the CWI to have her live with a family.

Those first few moments are just amazing!  Whether to laugh, cry or yell for joy -- it was all coursing through me.  It was amazing!

Two additional photo's came along in the packet of information -- all three were taken in late September, 1999 -- about when she was 5 months old.

I'm so excited!  It's going to be six weeks until we can travel to meet Ella!
