It was amazing when the call finally came on January 19th, 2000.  Or, should I say that I made the call to the agency -- one of those "do you have ANY news for me" calls -- and they did have the news!

Yuan Yu Yuan

I received updated medical information on the 20th, and at 9 months, she is 23" long, and weighs approximately 16 lbs.  Yuan is the name all the kids at the Nanning Social Welfare Institute are given.  Yu Yuan translates as "Garden Rain".

Those first few moments are just amazing!  Whether to laugh, cry or yell for joy -- it was all coursing through me.  It was amazing!

Two additional photo's came along in the packet of information -- all three were taken in late September, 1999 -- about when she was 5 months old.

I'm so excited!  Only a month until I can meet my daughter!!!!
