Deriada, Yuson inducted to Palanca Hall of Fame

MANILA - Alfred Yuson and Leoncio Deriada received the Hall of Fame Awards. This award is given to writers who have received five or more Palanca first prizes.
   Yuson won first prize in poetry this year in addition to prizes in short story in 1975, poetry in 1978, poetry in 1986, and novel in 1986.
   Deriada won this year's first prize in full length play in addition to his prizes in short story in 1975, Dulaang May Isang Yugto in 1987, Short Story for Children in 1993, and one-act play in 1999.
   They join the esteemed Hall of Famers Roberto Añonuevo, Jose Dalisay Jr, Elsa Cosuelleula, Ma. Luisa Igloria, Cirilo Bautista, Gregorio Brilliantes, Ruth Elyria Mabangco, Buenaventura Medina, Joses Peralta, Rolando Tinio and Rene Villanueva.
