Likhaan.com condemns terrorist action in the US September 15
   Team Likhaan.com condemns the recent terrorist actions in Washington, D.C.; New York City; and Pennsylvania. It urges the Philippine government to exhaust all possible means to ensure the safety of Filipinos in those areas and promises its support of initiatives leading to a peaceful global community.

Slots for 39th Nat'l Writers Workshop open August 17
   The Creative Writing Center is now accepting applications for the 39th National Writers' Workshop to be held in Davao in October 2001. The workshop has ten slots, open to fictionists, poets and dramatists who write in English, Filipino, Cebuano, Waray, Ilonggo or Kiniray-a. Applicants must be based in Mindanao.
