List of upgrades if I had a million bucks. I can do it for less than $5,000 for the basics.
Things I won't change:
  • Frame is very solid and well built.
  •
Upgrades:

ENGINE
  • Seems most "gearheads" like the "alumininum everything" approach to the engine. I've changed to an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake and 1406 carburetor, which dropped 24 pounds off the engine. Since the engine is strong and straight I'm going to leave the heads alone.
  • Installed new seals and gaskets top and bottom.
BODY (probably won't do these 2 mods)
  • Cut the nose so it will tilt.
  • Modify the nose to "look" like the over the top radiator exhaust.
TRANSMISSION
  • Replaced the GM LH425 with an Audi 5000 transaxle, resulting in a lighter car by 300lbs giving car better balance and agility.
RUNNING GEAR
  • New wheels and tires.
    • Have 14" rims on the front and 15" rears.
    • Bolt pattern is 5 on 4 3/4.
    • I have a set of Crager style, used steel wheels that would need to be rechromed to look nice.
    • plus size the wheels and tires to 2010 Corvette base:  245/40-R18 front, 285/35-19 rear

Add ons:

  • A nice stereo receiver and cd changer.
  • New carpet and of course leather and all the other niceties (heat, air, instruments).
  • Seats (need skinny seats with low bottom cushion)
