Tribute To

Bradley Nowell
From

"...My little dog lou-dog, sailed off to the Moon..." -Brad Nowell
It's not very often when you get a terrific man, father, husband, poet, and song writer in the world of music today.....

Bradley James Nowell was born on February 22, 1968. He grew up in Long Beach, CA. Brad and his wife Troy, parents of 11-month-old baby boy
Jakob James Markus Nowell, were married May 18 in Las Vegas.

Brad, unfortunatly, had a history of heroin use...among other drugs...
However, in almost every way, these "experiences" help Brad and the rest of Sublime with their lyrics
It is very sad when the famous line comes to mind that "All Good Things Must Come To An End"....but everyone and everything must live up to this rule.....Unfortunately it was Brad's time....
Brad Nowell, founder of Sublime, was
pronounced dead at 12:28 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 in a hotel room in San Francisco, where the band was on tour. The probable cause of death, while
still under investigation, is accidental drug overdose. Nowell, the singer, guitarist and chief songwriter for the Long Beach-based trio, was 28.
Sublime's debut album, 40 oz. to Freedom, was released on the band's own
Skunk Records in 1992.
It was followed in 1994 by Robbin' The Hood.
The
band then completed recording their self-titled album, which was released last year on Gasoline Alley/MCA.
Brad is survived by his wife Troy; his son Jakob; his parents Jim Nowell,
Nancy Watilo and his stepmother Jane Nowell; his Sublime bandmates Floyd
"Bud" Gaugh and Eric Wilson; Skunk Records co-founder Michael; and his
many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to..... Jakob
