Once upon a time there were two leaves floating down a river to an unknown destination. As they floated along they came together. I am an Oak Leaf said the first, and I am an Elm Leaf said the other. "Where are you going?" Asked the Oak. "I don't know!" Replied the Elm. "Nor do I." Said the Oak. "Want to go together?" They both said at the same time. And so they did. They learned and taught each other about what is was like be an Oak and to be an Elm Leaf, and they were happy. But one day the currents of the mighty river separated them and they were taken to different places. Neither of them ever forgot the other and what they had learned, and neither of them were just an Oak or Elm Leaf any longer. They were both more complete than they were before they met. And each of them was one step closer to rejoining the wholeness of what the truly are.
