with America OnLine services (AOL).
More Information
AOL does not provide an e-mail transport service that can be
used with Outlook. AOL uses a proprietary e-mail system that requires
the use of their own e-mail client software.
In the book "Running Microsoft Outlook 98" by Alan Neibauer,
pages 110, 140, and 265 there are references that imply that you
can get e-mail from AOL through Outlook. This is incorrect.
