WWII, born on January 5, 1926 and was reported to have passed away on August 16, 1972.

1LT Ronald E. Beckham A member of HSB, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam,
was born on Friday, August 27, 1943, and passed away (cause of death unknown) on June 23, 1983. He was one of the Battalion
Aerial Observers and later, with C Battery, was an FO with 3-8 Infantry. He was a LTC with the Alabama National Guard at
the time of his death.

was born on August 21, 1948, and passed away (cause of death unknown) in March 1977.

Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, San Diego County, California.
CPT Vernon P. Burns A former Commander of B Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWII, was reported to have passed away in 1990 or 1991 (from the writings of John C. Ausland).
Roy D. Byars A member of A Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWII, was reported to have passed away on September 27, 1994. He is buried in the Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
SGT Henry S. Carlson An original member of C Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 4, 1891. He entered the service on June 25, 1918 with duty in the 29th Field Artillery, Camp Funston, Kansas, until it was disbanded. He was then transferred to Camp Pike, Arkansas.
His date of death and exact burial place are uncertain, but he is listed in the Lancaster Country registry in Lincoln, Nebraska.

WWI era, born March 25, 1890, and passed away on October 13, 1965. He is buried in the
Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California.
1LT William G. Cole A member of C Battery, 29th Field Artillery, WWII, passed away on Sunday evening, July 22, 2001. Bill was a
great contributor to many of the WW2 pages and stories involving the 29th Field Artillery. He is sorely missed!
William Cook A member of B Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWII, was reported to have passed away on July 4, 2003. He was from Pittsburg, PA, and is survived by his wife, Celia, and his daughter.
PVT Arnold T. Dadey An original member of A Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, birth date and date of death unknown, but his service is recorded in records in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.
PFC Ora Davidson An original member of B Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, born February 17, 1893, passed away on July 23, 1959. He is buried in the Cat Creek Cemetery, Harrison County, MO.

WWI era, was reported to have passed away on June 16, 1957. He is buried in the
Togus National Cemetery, Kennebec County, Togus, Maine.
SP4 Matthew Levi Deutsch A former member of B Battery, 4th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery,
born on Saturday, September 3, 1966, died as a result of an automobile accident on Friday, March 6, 1998. He was married, and
had one son. He was from Orrstown, Pennsylvania. He was a true friend, who is missed by all that knew him.
PVT Leon Arnold Dieker An original member of D Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, was born on February 2, 1894, and died on December 4, 1962. He is buried in the Deaver Cemetery, Furnas County, Nebraska.
PVT Preston Columbus Dowdy An original member of the 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, was born on April 10, 1889 in Stoddard County, Missouri, and passed away due to tuberculosis, in Memphis, Tennessee on
July 7, 1942. He is buried in the Cardwell Cemetery, Dunklin County, Missouri.
CPT William J. Dragozetich An original member of the 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery,
Vietnam, 1966 - 1967, passed away on January 17, 1999. Born July 12, 1940, he retired after 23 years of service in the Army,
as a Lieutenant Colonel. After his retirement from the Army, he worked for his local school district for 8 years, retiring again, because of
the effects of Lou Gehrig's disease. He lived in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Bill, aka "The Dragon", will be missed by all that knew him!

SP4 Donald W. Emmerson A member of HSB, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam,
was born on Monday, August 8, 1938, and passed away (cause of death unknown) on Friday, July 15, 1994. He was from Indianna.
PVT Rolla Eye An original member of the 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, was born in 1889, and passed away at Camp Funston, Kansas (probable influenza) on October 19, 1918. He is buried in the
Shirley Union Church Cemetery, Walton Township, Washington County, Missouri.
LT Ned O. Farry An original member of G Battery (SLT), 29th Field Artillery,
died in an automobile crash (date of death not provided). He was from South Carolina.
PVT George August Fass An original member of the 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, was born September 12, 1887, and passed away on November 10, 1936. He is buried in the
St. Libory Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, Howard County, Nebraska.
John (Mike) Finsland A member of I Battery (SLT), 29th Field Artillery,
from 1968-1969, died in 1987, at the age of 40 years.
SSG Michael Fleckenstein A member of B, G, & I Battery (SLT), 29th Field Artillery,
served three tours in Vietnam from 1967-1972. He passed away in April, 1998, after a lengthy fight with
diabetes. "Fleck" was loved by all who served with him. He was married for twenty years, and was always
at peace with himself. "FLECK WAS A LIGHT, IN DARKNESS AND FEAR"
PFC Ira Emanuel Flick An original member of B Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, was born on October 2, 1892, and passed away on December 12, 1957. He is buried in the
Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, San Diego County, California.
PVT William H. Foreman An original member of E Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWI era, was born November 7, 1894, and passed away on July 14, 1955. He is buried in the
Greenlawn Cemetery, Missouri.
Joseph M. Gaiteri A member of C Battery, 29th Field Artillery,
WWII, passed away March 19, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and lived in
Plainsville, Pennsylvania.
SGT Jose A. Garcia A member of HSB, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam,
was born on Tuesday, November 7, 1944, and passed away (cause of death unknown) in October, 1984. He was from the Virgin Islands.
SP5 Harlin Gillette A member of Service Battery, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery,
died during an off-duty misadventure (exact date unknown). He served with 6-29 FA from 1984, until his death.

was born on April 29, 1892 and passed away on October 2, 1955. He is buried in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery,
Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.
Charles Delbert Grimsley A former member of C Battery, 6th Battalion,
29th Field Artillery, Vietnam, was born on April 5, 1945, and was reported to have passed away in
Louisiana (circumstances unknown), on Monday, March 18, 2002. He is buried in Samuel Taylor Cemetery in Rockport, Illinois.
CW3 Michael L. Gruber A member of Service Battery, 2nd Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, 1988-1991, was born on Monday, May 14, 1956, and
passed away from cancer on Saturday, March 20, 1999. He was the Battalion Maintenance Technician, and a Gulf War Veteran, retiring in 1995. He is survived by his wife Pam, and two sons.

April 7, 1943, and was reported to have passed away on Thursday, October 15, 1987 in Holly, Michigan.
SP4 John E. Hamilton A member of HSB, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam, was born on September 24, 1949, and passed away (cause of death unknown) in Sacramento, California on August 15, 1989. He was originally from Floria.

SP4 Robert M. Hill A member of C Battery, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam, was born on December 26, 1949, and passed away (cause of death unknown) in Hobbs, New Mexico on April 2, 2003. He was awarded the Purple Heart on April 1, 1970, and was originally from Nevada.
PFC Vernon Donald Hoar A member of HSB, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Friedburg, Germany,
was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1928, in Penngrove, CA., and passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2000 at his home in Forrestville, CA. During his assignment, he was in the FDC Section.
He was discharged from active duty in November, 1952, at Fort Ord, CA, the same place where he received his Basic Training.
SP4 Billy D. Hout A member of HSB, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam,
was born on December 29, 1948, and passed away (cause of death unknown) in June 1980.
PFC John M. Johanson A member of A Battery, 6th Battalion,
29th Field Artillery, Vietnam 1966-1967, made the Army his career. He retired from the Special Forces
as an E9, and was reported to have passed away (date and circumstances unknown).

WWII, was born on August 25, 1914, and passed away on March 30, 1988. He was married, and
a life long resident of Oswego, New York.
PVT Harry F. Raymond A former member of Battery C, 29th Field Artillery, WWI was born on July 16, 1897 in Rangeley, Maine. He was inducted in Framington on October 18, 1918 and in December 1918, was transferred to Fort Levett, Maine. He was finally discharged on June 11, 1919, and was reported to have passed away on September 9, 1969. He lived his final years in Portage des Sioux, Missouri.
SSG Errol J. Reddick A former member of
Service Battery, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, 1984-1987, was born on Saturday, January 23, 1943, and
passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 1990 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a Vietnam
Veteran, retiring in 1987.

SP4 Neil R. Reynolds A member of C Battery, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam - 1969 to 1970, was born on June 16, 1950, and passed away (cause of death unknown) in Dover, New Jersey in February, 1977. He was originally from New Jersey.

MAJ George Springer A member of the 29th Field Artillery, WWII,
was reported to have died in 1992. He was known as "Pappy" to his comrades, because during the
war, he was older than most of them (in his 30's), and was the Battalion S-3 Operations Officer.

SSG Peter F. Tabaka A former member of HSB, 6th Battalion,
29th Field Artillery, Vietnam 1966-1967, was reported to have passed away (date and
circumstances unknown).
Alfred Talley Jr. A member of G Battery (SLT), 29th Field Artillery,
from 1969-1970, died in 1993, of bone cancer. He was from Gabbettville, Georgia.
After returning home, he entered the law enforcement profession, and was the first
black elected to the office of Sheriff in his county. He was truly one of the most
popular members of G-29, a fine person, a good soldier, and certainly a fine citizen
of the LaGrange-Gabbettville area. He will be missed not only by his family, but by
his friends he served with in Vietnam.
SP4 Marty M. Tetoff A member of A Battery, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam - 1969 to 1970, was born on April 15, 1950, and passed away (cause of death unknown) in November 1991. He was originally from West Virginia.
COL Joel F. Thomason Commander of the 29th Field Artillery from D-Day throughout World War II,
was born on December 26, 1917 and passed on November 24, 2000. He was married, and lived his final years in Punta Garden, Florida.
PVT Walter C. True An original member of A Battery, 29th Field Artillery, WWI
was born on January February 8, 1892, and was reported to have passed away November 3, 1969 (circumstances unknown).
He is buried in the Strong Village Cemetery, in Strong, Maine.
Nianza Emory Wallace Sr. A member of the 29th Field Artillery, WWII, was born
December 23, 1918, and was reported to have passed away on November 29, 1998,
in Virginia Beach VA. He served as a spotter and machine gunner throughout the European Theater,
and is buried in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
SSG John F. Whalen A member of HSB, 6th Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, Vietnam,
was born on Tuesday, February 10, 1931, and passed away (cause of death unknown) on Saturday, May 18, 1985. He was from Pennsylvania.
SGT Raymond F. Whiteside An member of the 29th Field Artillery, WWI
was born on September 24, 1894, and was reported to have passed away on October 23, 1918 (circumstances unknown; probable influenza).
