  • PHAZON SUIT - PHAZON BEAM
So, you have to head back to, "Elite Quarters." I took the Tallon Overworld to, "Phazon Mines East," route. Sure, it's lengthy, but there's some stuff to do on the way. In, "Root Cave," work your way up to the previously inaccessible Plasma Beam door (red door). On your way up, when it appears that you have nowhere to jump, put on your X-Ray Visor. You'll see the way. For all of this work, you get a MISSILE EXPANSION. Continue along your way.
  • Once you're in Phazon Mines, work your way to, "Elevator A." Go down. Work your way around to, "Metroid Quarantine A." There will be a forcefield blocking your progress, go upstairs (ramp) and Scan the computers until you deactivate the forcefield. Put on your X-Ray Visor, and you'll see some platforms. Jump across. Now, look for the Magnetic Rail. Again, don your X-Ray Visor and hop across. Go through the Ice Beam door. Go down, "Elevator B." In, "Fungal Hal A," take care of the floating things with your Ice Beam and a Missile for each one, then hop across the mushrooms and then Grapple the moving platform to get to the next Ice Beam door. Go through. Use a Super Bomb to clear a path. In, "Fungal Hall B," there is a Missile Refill room. Do it if you want, then proceed through the Plasma Beam door. When you get to, "Metroid Quarantine B," there will be 4 Plasma Troopers to take care of. Then, take the Magnetic Rail, hop across and take the Grapple over. Release the forcefield by Scanning. Now, you have a Plasma Trooper and 2 Wave Troopers. The bottom door in here is a Save Room: Save! Go up to the Plasma Beam, take care of the Plasma Trooper. See the Ice above the door you can't get through. Shoot a charged Plasma Beam at it. This will melt it.
  • Now, you are in, "Elite Quarters," and you have to fight an Omega Pirate. Not cool. First, your going to have to target each of his 4 blue glowing pieces on his body. You can be in Combat Visor for this. You can only hit him when he's attacking, so use your Plasma Beam and your Missiles to bust up each part of his body. Then, he'll disappear. You'll get a random assortment of Troopers which come out at this point. Take care of them quickly (or leave one or two around) and go into your X-Ray Visor. You'll be able to see the Omega Pirate's Heart and Veins. Target his heart and do a Super Missile (Power Beam, hold and hit "Y") at him. You'll see his health go down for the first time. Now, go back into Combat Visor and take care of the rest of the Troopers. You'll notice that the Omega Pirate has gone back to normal. Now, do the same thing to him this time, shooting off the 4 blue glowing (Phazon) plates. When the Troopers come out this time, take care of one or two of them...don't worry about the rest. Go into X-Ray Visor and Super Missile the Omega Pirate. Now, still in X-Ray Visor, look for the Omega Pirate again, and Super Missile him again. Now, do the same thing and shoot him with one more Super Missile and he'll be dead. Of course, while you're doing this, you have to just wildly run around and jump so as to take the least damage from the Troopers. So, in summary, get him weak, then Super Missile him once. Get him weak again, then Super Missile him 3 times. You will have earned the PHAZON SUIT and the PHAZON BEAM. The Phazon Beam is a situational weapon that automatically comes out when you need it. The Phazon suit makes it so the blue glowing stuff (Phazon) can't hurt you. Go back and SAVE! Then, return to, "Elite Quarters," and go up the elevator, then through the Plasma Beam door.
  • You will soon be in, "Phazon Processing Center." Lots of Troopers in here and some turrets. As you work your way up in this room, put on your X-Ray Visor and you'll see the platforms that you need. You'll also see a Missile Expansion in the wall. Super Bomb it to get it. Now, continue on, all the way up. Exit out, "Transport to Magmoor Caverns South."
  • Soon enough, you'll get an incoming scan data telling you to return the Artifacts to the Artifact Temple. Now, we hunt for artifacts!
