Voyager's position after Kes' "catapult" - When Kes was forced to leave the ship, she gave her friends an incredible gift. Using her new powers, she flung Voyager clear of Borg space and, as a bonus, 10 years closer to home.
Vori/Krayden Homeworld - The Vori and Krayden are at war with each other, and each believes the other side to be a "nemesis" of what they represent. Most of the war is based on a very sophisticated use of propoganda. (Voyger episode "Nemesis")
Bomar Space - Highly secretive and aggressively defensive of their property and information, the Bomar do not like people crossing their space and have set up a number of measures to stop people doing so. Voyager must stay at least 5 light years from the border, and any deviation will be considered an act of war. (Voyager episode "The Raven")
Binary pulsar - Janeway used the pulsar to force invading alien scientists off her ship. (Voyager episode "Scientific Method")
Comet - This comet forced Voyager to make a course correction, leading them into Krenim space.
Krenim Imperium - The Krenim are a highly advanced race, who have developed time manipulation technology to use against their enemies. Using advanced torpedoes (which are in a state of temporal flux, rendering them invincible) and even more advanced temporal weaponary (which can erase an entire species from existance and history, therefore altering the timeline in the Imperium's favor), they are a formidible force to be reckoned with. Part of their territory is currently in dispute with the Zahl, and Voyager has been advised to steer clear of their space, which covers a massive 16,000 light years, possibly the biggest space claim by one race in the entire galaxy. (Voyager episodes "Year of Hell" and "Year of Hell, Part 2")
Mari Homeworld - The Mari are a race of telepaths who have outlawed violent thought, and those who think "dark thoughts" have them removed from their brain. (Voyager episode "Random Thoughts")
Space Pirates - Tau steals things from passing ships using a transporter (which is also stolen). (Voyager episode "Concerning Flight")
Nebula - This nebula contains protomatter which could be useful as an energy source. However, the protomatter in this nebula is unstable. (Voyager episode "Mortal Coil")
"Dreaming" Aliens - Invading people's dreamstates, these aliens prefer the reality of the sleeping to the one of the waking. They are all asleep on their world, collectively dreaming the same dream. (Voyager episode "Waking Moments")
Alien Communication array(s) and the Hirogen - This is the first in a series of arrays which (amazingly) lead all the way to a distant corner of the Alpha Quadrant. The builders of the arrays are unknown, but the nearby space has been claimed by the Hirogen. The Hirogen are very war like and hunt almost anything, considering the hunt to be paramount above all else. In several encounters, the Hirogen hunted Voyager and its crew, and in one instance even took over the ship. (Voyager episodes "Message in a Bottle", "Hunters", "Prey", "Retrospect", "The Killing Game" and "The Killing Game, Part 2")
Entaran Colony - Information access to this section currently unavailable (should be restored soon).
Benthan Colony - Information access to this section currently unavailable (should be restored soon).
Omega Subspace damage - The Omega particle is a perfect energy source, but is also highly unstable, and can destroy subspace (the universal continuum which permits warp travel). Starfleet has set up a directive which forces Captains to hunt down and destroy ANY AND ALL Omega Particle research (alien or otherwise) to protect subspace and warp travel. (Voyager episode "The Omega Directive")
"Demon" Planet - Desperately low on energy supplies, Voyager was forced to travel to this dangerous planet to stock up on deuterium. On the surface, in unthinkable heat and stress, lives a lifeform wishing to mimic things, and, to prevent Voyager's destruction, Janeway was forced to let the lifeform make a copy of everybody on board, and these copies now live on the surface. (Voyager episode "Demon")
Mutura Nebula - Dangerous to life because of the radiation it expells, this nebula forced Voyager's crew into a cryogenic sleep for a month so that the ship could pass through it (the alternative being a year-long journey around). (Voyager episode "One")
Alien's revenge (not shown) - An intelligent alien came aboard Voyager near the end of 2374, helping Janeway to decipher the message sent from Starfleet along the arrays (see above). Supposedly, Starfleet had sent a new ship to the Delta Quadrant to whisk Voyager home in three months. However, this was uncovered as ruse by the alien to seek revenge on Janeway's deal with the Borg which resulted in his species' assimilation. When he tried to send Janeway back to the Collective to be assimilated, he in fact ended up being assimilated, and Voyager was able to use the quantum slipstream to get out of Borg space and back to where they originally were - and as a bonus they gained 300 light years towards home. (Voyager episode "Hope and Fear").
