Barzan Wormhole - The Barzan wormhole was first encountered in the Alpha Quadrant by Captain Picard and the crew of the USS. Enterprise "D", and its exit point was thought to be in the Delta Quadrant, a fact proven when Janeway and her crew found it opening and closing in random positions. (Voyager episode "False Profits")
Nechani Homeworld - The Nechani are a peaceful and highly spiritual people, believing in gods know simply as "The Spirits".
Akritirian Homeworld - The Akritiri people are savage when dealing with criminals, literaly throwing them into a pit with other criminals, turning their drifiting space prision barges into breeding grounds for disease and terrible violence. Harry Kim and Tom Paris were wrongly accused for a bombing on the homeworld, and before their rescue they experienced life in Akritiri prison first-hand, and were savagely beaten and almost killed by other prisoners. (Voyager episode "The Chute")
"The Swarm" - No one knows the true name of this species, as ships who travel into their space are "pecked" at by thousands upon thousands of little ships who move together in a swarm. Their space is huge; it would take 15 months to travel around it. Voyager was able to get through a small section rather quickly, but encountered the swarm near the far side. The swarm are one of the few Delta Quadrant aliens to posses transporter technology. (Voyager episode "The Swarm")
Rift in the space-time continuum (not shown) - Captain Braxton, from the 29th Century, travelled back in time to destroy Voyager, believing that the vessel was responsible for causing a temporal explosion which destroys Earth's solar system. When his time travel mechanism malfunctioned, he and Voyager were hurled back to 1996, where a madman stole Braxton's technology and intended to travel to the 29th century to get more technology and become rich - it was he who caused the explosion. The disaster was averted when Voyager destroyed the technology, reseting the timeline back to its proper state. (Voyager episode "Future's End, Parts 1 and 2")
Allari Homeworld - Former Allari leader, Tieran, developed a technology to transfer his consiousness into another person, hoping to become immortal. (Voyager episode "Warlord")
3 Supernovas - These supernovas were caused by a war in the Q Continuum. (Voyager episode "The Q and The Grey")
Tak Tak Homeworld - The Tak Tak are one of the more unusual races encountered by Voyager in the Delta Quadrant, as every movement of the body conveys a message. When Captain Janeway put her hands on her hips, she deeply offended the Tak Tak leader, sending him a message of disgust without knowing it! (Voyager episode "Macrocosm")
Necrid Expanse - The Necrid Expanse is a huge interstellar dust cloud, thousands of light years wide. However, it is possible to travel through it in a relatively short time. Many explorers do not venture beyond the Necrid Expanse; it is regarded as something of a "sign post" to species such as Talaxians to stop exploring so far away from home. (Voyager episode "Fair Trade")
Sikarians - The Sikarians were ravaged by a Borg attack around 60 years ago. The species now live cloaked underground, and have adapted to blend in with the walls, becoming invincible. (Voyager episode "Blood Fever")
Borg Cube adrift - This Borg cube was sent adrift after an electromagnetic storm disabled it 5 years ago. 1000 corpses are still aboard, but over 80,000 people transported to the surface of a nearby planet where they started a new life for themselves. However, they soon realised that they need a collective, and reactivated the cube's neural-electric generator to reform the group into a new "co-operative". (Voyager episode "Unity")
Mikal - The Mikal Travellers are explorers who travel far into space, and are regarded as a source for information about upcoming dangers. (Voyager episode "Darkling")
Nezu Colony - This colony of the Nezu was under threat when asteroids began to bombard the surface. However, it was proven that the asteroids were proven to have originated from another race trying to claim the world. (Voyager episode "Rise")
Tauresia - Most of Tauresian society is female, and males are very rare. In the mating and conception process, males give their life to make the female pregnant. (Voyager episode "Favourite Son")
Voth City ship - The Voth originate from Earth; they were, in fact, a dinosaur species which developed language and technology before the mass extinction millions of years ago. When disaster threatened, the species launched themselves into space, and wandered into the Delta Quadrant, where they continued to evolve into a highly intellectual race, believing themselves to be the "First" race. (Voyager episode "Distant Origin")
The Borg Collective - Janeway always knew that one day she would have to deal with the Borg, as their home territory is in the Delta Quadrant. When that moment came late in 2373, she and her crew were surprised to see that the deadly collective was on the receiving end of a terrible conflict with a species known only as 8472. Janeway was able to reach an unthinkable deal with the collective to pass through their space without being assimilated. (Voyager episode "Scorpion, Part 1")
