Janeway goes on a hunt for the U.S.S. Equinox who has gone against everything they, and she, was taught by the Federation. Seven and The Doctor are hostages on board the Equinox, and must devise a plan to escape.

In this episode, Janeway goes nearly to the point of insanity, and Chakotay almost instigates a mutiny. Janeway disregards all advice and becomes quite seperated from her friends.

Evil Doctor, swapped at the end of Part 1, continues in Voyager's sickbay, and the crew are unaware that he his programed to inflict harm on them.

Our Doctor, captured on the Equinox, has his ethical subroutines removed, and is ordered to perform surgical procedures on Seven of Nine. In an almost "Silence of the Lambs" sequence, he whistles country and western tunes as he removes parts of Seven's face and implants...

At the end, members of the Equinox crew join Voyager's journey home. Our Doctor has his subroutines put back, and returns to sickbay on Voyager and deletes Evil Doctor. The crew from the Equinox will have to re-adjust to "ethical" lives if they want to remain a part of Voyager's family.

The final scene is Janeway and Chaoktay picking up Voyager's dedication plaque and putting back on the wall.

A B'Elanna Torres story. B'Elanna spirtually delves into Klingon "hell".

The first draft of this script was apparently ripped to pieces by the producers, but Ron's Klingon expertise ensures this should be a gem.

"5,000 Years" RUMOURED - Voyager encounters a species who've been asleep for thousands of generations.

"Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy" RUMOURED - Neelix's daydreams take on a life of their own when aliens become involved.

"Blink of an Eye" RUMOURED - Voyager encounters an alien planet where civilsations exist only for a few seconds, because time works differently there.

"The Eye in the Sky" RUMOURED - The crew find a long-range telescope focused on Earth.

"The Genie" RUMOURED - Chakotay is lured to command an alien starship.

"E Pludibus Unum" RUMOURED - One of the crew infiltrates an alien society where everyone is identical.

"Uncivil Defence" RUMOURED - Voyager becomes embroiled in a Hiroshima-type event. Or Hiroshima itself, or something...

"The Stone" RUMOURED - The story of an object whose journey has lasted many millenia.

Other Developments:

• There will be a two-hour telemovie this year which may be air just before the Christmas re-run period, the first part airing before and the second part as the first episode back. This may be the episode where Voyager gets home, although producers and UPN are skeptical now if this will ever happen, because they are worried that the Alpha Quadrant has become stale and won't work for Voyager.

• Expect less of Seven of Nine's nanopropes saving the day all the time

• There will be more Chakotay stories this year, but then again, that's what they say every year. Also, expect Janeway's character to be less schizophrenic and crazy.

• Roxann Dawson will direct this year.
