Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine:
Shambala Sanctuary
Looks like Urgon left a passion for clock-making as well as an evil legacy in this rugged wilderness. The ingenuity behind the combo clock tower/bell tower is truly astounding, but unfortunately, there's no one around to repair it. Guess who's got that job?
Things are fairly linear until this ladder flops down, admiting you to a room with a golden statue that will eventually ring the giant bell. The inside of this clock tower looks like it was designed by a punch-drunk M.C. Escher.
Ignore all the switches, since they do nothing yet. Carefully descend to the tower basement until you see this ice creature. Follow it through a room full of supersized gears.
Leap to the right, where a series of inclines will break your fall. Shatter the ice creatures with your 9mm Automatic Pistol, then shove the large block to engage the machinery.
What with the platforms on the giant pistons syncopating hither and yon and the whole tower shrouded in midwinter gloom, making your way back up is a very tricky proposition. You'll need to use your Bullwhip once.
Shove this gear until it meshes with the rest of the clockworks, then climb to the top of the tower and hit the switch there.
After flipping the switch at the top of the clock tower, take the newly erected bridge to the bell tower. Leap to the window sill below and break it with your Bullwhip.
After the bell rings, it will lift, revealing this wizened and chatty old woman. She has a special key for Indy.
Use the key to open a gate at the base of the clock tower. Ice creatures lurk within, so be ready with a gun.
Climb the ladder to a room with two beds, then hit the switch to reach a treasure. Enter the room with a single bed and climb through the rafters to the Monastic Seal.
Unfortunatly, your actions will alert the heretofore unseen guards, who suddenly decide it's high time to earn their pay.
Keeping a sharp eye out for the guards, turn the statue clockwise twice. Grab the treasure in the room below, then crawl through a spider-infested hole.
Avoid the booby traps by crawling through the next passage, then arm yourself for the ice creatures in the next room. Climb the nearby ladder.
Ride the elevator, then use the Monastic Seal to unseal a new room. Carefully platform hop to the far side of the room. Watch out for the breakable third platform.
Two more elevator trips take you to this key. Arduous climbing takes you to your goal, a rare plant bulb snared in a cage. Use the key to unlock it.
Jump into the water to return to the room with the statue. As you approach the waterfall, climb to the girder. You'll need to push a button to activate a ladder to reach the next room.
Crash through a window to reach a flower pot. Put the bulb in the pot. It will fall into the waterfall and the bulb will immediatly begin to grow.
Bullwhip to the flower, then take it to the keeper of the bell. The flower will transform her into a young woman who can open the doors to a new passage. Who says miracles don't happen?
The hidden passage leads you on a treacherous path that ultimately leads to Urgon's part of the Infernal Machine. Unfortunately, an evil ice ogre has been waiting for a troublemaker like you. Fortunately, Urgon's part can help defeat it.
