Sorry blogging's been light lately. I'm in the middle of exams for my course and I've caught a cold again, which makes it hard to concentrate. I do however have a hypothetical question to consider. I wonder what readers think.
Imagine that one day, all of the white people in Britain left and only non-white UK citizens remained. Would there be more racism or less? Ignore any economic effects and assume that net income per capita remains the same.

I'm not sure this is answering the question you intended, but if all the whites left Britain you'd be left with a population of about 5m. The resulting drop in population density would significantly reduce inter-racial friction because, simply, the racists wouldn't have to live within 50 miles of someone who didn't look like them any more.
Also, the mere fact that there is one fewer race in the country must perforce reduce racism.
But you obviously want a comment on whether we think whites are more racist than non-whites, although I fail to see how that could be interesting. How can you group the dozen or so major non-white ethnicities in this country into one lump? And, for that matter, every single white person regardless of age, class or intelligence? Anything you could conclude would be meaningless (not to mention distasteful).

I wasn't thinking about changes in population density when I wrote this. If people moved to be away from other races it would indicate racism on their part. I was wondering about this because Britain is going to be less 'white' in future so racism will be less about gangs of white skinhead youths v others, and more about how the others relate with each other. It may be distateful to think about, but someone ought to think about it now in order to anticipate trouble in the future. One statistic that I think would be quite interesting to know about would be the intermarriage rates. I suspect, but can't prove that per capita there are more whites marrying Afro-caribbeans than there are Asians marrying Afro-Caribbeans.

A fair point. It's a fairly simplistic question designed to think forward to when anti-racist policies will have to be more multi-lateral. I feel like I've been overtaken by events today. Did you see the story about the Australian Open tennis tournament:

Rival supporters of Croatia and Serbia (both white) had to be ejected after fighting broke out. It's many years since the war yet the wounds are still there. If Croats and Serbs still want to fight their battles years later when they are on foreign soil, then what would happen if they were both to immigrate to the UK (for sake of argument) in massive numbers. This again is hypothetical. I am just showing that a multi-cultural society is hard to maintain when it includes ethnicities who are fighting elsewhere.
Just thinking out loud thats all.

At the risk of rat-holing the topic, I'd point out that by the standards of crude racial categories, found at race-obsessed 'the end of the world is nigh' sites such as VDare and American Renaissance" Serbs and Coats are the same race = White.
Obviously their countries have been at war until a decade or so ago and the scars still haven't healed - perhaps those scars are all the deeper since for several decades both races lived side by side under Tito without too much bloodshed. So their war had many of the characteristics of a civil war, with nationalist overtones.
The other thing I'd point out was the circumstances of that riot. You have:
1) A publicised tennis match between a Serb and a Croat.
2) Record breaking heat leading to the match being cancelled and considerable anger.
3) Oz-style boozing pre-match.
4) Both sets of supporters dressed in their national colours.
In short, if you sat down and designed a set of conditions in which to achieve a race-riot (actually a nationalist riot) then you couldn't do too much better than what happened at the Australian Open yesterday.

I did say in the coment above that Croats and Serbs are both white. Read it again. Slowly.
Sorry, couldn't resist that. I did talk about different ethnicities at the end though. I actually had in mind something I had just seen in the C4 'Undercover Mosque' expose earlier where one firebrand non-white preacher said 'Burn the Indian businesses!' to his audience. (He didn't say Hindu).
