WEB PAGE INFORMATION

The introduction of web page design into the Canada First Robotics competition has given Etobicoke Collegiate students the opportunity to explore the lastest craze in technology.  A group of fourteen students participated in A variety of activites including design, HTML coding, scanning photographs, creating logos, and writing summaries.

The web page aspect of the competition provided an interesting alternative for students who did not want to take part in the actual construction of the robot.  It was also a valuable learning experience for students who do not have any previous background in web page design.

VIDEO

Led by Yorgo Karakostas and Georgios Platsis, the video team put together an awesome documentary of the entire robotics experience.  All team members were eager to act and express their enthusiasm on tape.

BINDER TEAM

One key component of the Etobicoke CI entry into the CF Robotic Games is the written documentation, also known as 'The Binder'.  It is made up of many pieces of required information that are judged not only on content and method, but design and creativity as well.   Included are such items as a school profile, sponsor profiles, our team logo, and photographs of the robot and the process of its creation.  All aspects of the robot are documented in the binder.  Receipts are included, A press release that has been sent to various media around the city, logs, drawings and specs of the robot are necessary as well.

The goal of the media team is to create an explosive means of conveying the "Flying Electric Rams'" confidence, creativity, leadership and skills that are needed to successfully compete in a nation-wide competition.
