Maj Robert Kline (call sign "Cobalt 02") was one of two F-105D pilots shot down by gunfire on 2 November 1966 while strafing a train in RP-5, North Vietnam. The second pilot, "Cobalt 04", was rescued.
They were from the 421 TFS at Korat RTAB, Thailand.
