It is about that time of year again when everyone gets all excited because the people that give out awards are about to start giving out awards. AGAIN. The Acadamy Awards gave their nominees and the Grammy people made up a list who has the best song that is good or whatever. But it really bugs me that only these distant, souless entitees such as actors and singers should be awarded. I went to this Carl's Jr place on my way back to Dallas from Oklahoma City, and these two fine chaps fixed me a hamburger, fries, and a soda pop, and they let me take their picture. Why on earth is there not an award for fine chaps like these? I bet they would at least get nominated, and if they didn't win, they could at least put on tuxedos and hob nob with other hamburger fixer guys and talk shop or whatever they do. I guess this will never happen though, because people out there like TV and stupid movies and stupid music a whole lot and I guess since this is the case, there are not enough awards to go around so we have to limit the awards to the aforementioned.
