During the summer of 2000, Brent Lawrence wrote an emotional farewell for the character of Eric Brady.
After learning of Nicole's starring role in the porn flic 'Locker Room Lolita' Eric was convinced that his former lover was forced into making the film and became determined to discover the truth, despite his current relationship with Greta.
Eric tracked down Savannah Wilder who owned the porno studio which held the rights to Nicole's film. Posing as a young upcoming actor interested in breaking into the world of adult videos, he went to an audition and managed to steal a raw footage copy of Locker Room Lolita. That is when Eric learned Nicole's father, Paul Walker was responsible for making the film and casting his daughter in the starring role. Appalled by this revelation, Eric vowed to help Nicole and invited her back to his apartment to show his support. This prominent devotion to the woman he once loved led Eric to a crossroads where he was forced to re-analyze his feelings for both Nicole and Greta. However, when Nicole poured her heart out to Eric, he was unable to deny her advances, and the two made love.
Later when Greta decided to stop by Eric's apartment for a surprise visit, she received a shocking surprise of her own. Eric was lying in bed with his arm around Nicole. Greta was horrified by what she saw and told off both Eric and Nicole before storming out of the apartment. Eric chased after her but it was too late. He told Nicole was they did was wrong, as they have betrayed Greta.
Torn between the two women in his life, Eric realized he had to make a decision in order to be fair to Nicole and Greta. After much thought, he purchased an egagement ring and vowed to remain faithfull to his true love and break it off with the woman who was not meant for him. Eric was on his way to see the woman he planned to marry when in his haste, he stepped in front of a speeding car. Eric was hit and severely injured. To this day, he has remained in a coma at University Hospital, leaving the identity of his true love unknown.
