In February of 2001,
Ladi Vi's put on their own version of Greta's Coronation, with many original twists,
making it a storyline to remember.
Greta Von Amburg had arrived in Paris with Austin
to be Coronated as Princess. Unbeknowst to her at
the time, a derranged lunatic who devoted his life
to serving the monarchy found Greta to be unfit
to wear the crown, and plotted her death.
At the same time, Kate Roberts formed an alliance
with Vincent Moroni and together they hired two
hitmen to wipe out Victor, Sami, Brandon and Nicole
who were to be guests at the Coronation.
Many from Salem and dignitaries from around the globe
gathered at the Chateaux for the Coronation.
During the course of the night, Kayla Brady was
astounded to find her husband, Patch Johnson alive
and well.
The tension built as Charles lurked about prepared
to assasinate the soon to be Princess, and the hitmen
found the presice location to off their targets.
As the crown was lowered, Charles aimed his gun
and was about to fire, when the Midnight Raven
who later turned out to be Andre DiMera,
stabbed him to death and took his weapon.
Andre then fired three shots at Greta in hopes
of killing her.
When the hitmen heard this, they became concerned
that they were under attack and opened fire on their
targets, as well as the other guests.
During the massacre,
Victor was shot twice and faked his death,
Angela Moroni was shot and killed trying to
shield Brandon from certain death,
Nicole Walker was shot as well as
Stefano, Lucas, Kimberly, and Jack who
required a blood transfusion from his
biological brother Patch in order to survive.
In the aftermath of the massacre,
Vincent shot himself in the head
after he realized his actions had
caused the death of his daughter.
