Back in March of 2001,
Billie anticipated walking down the aisle
and taking Roman's hand in marriage.
However it was on her wedding day that
her scheming lies finally caught up with her,
leading to disasterous concequences.

Billie's saga began in the aftermath of Eric Brady's tragic accident.
Having returned to Salem to comfort Roman, who she had been unable
to deny her feelings for, Billie later announced her pregnancy to him.
Their romance continued to blossom,
leaving Billie happier than she had ever been before.
It was only two months later that Roman invited Billie
on a luxurious cruise, aboard which he proposed to her.
Billie was thrilled and gladly accepted.
With his ring on her finger,
all seemed to good to be true, which it was.
It was aboard this cruise, that Billie first met Anna DiMera,
whom she immediately took a disliking to.
The feeling was mutual for Anna who felt her ex-husband Roman
was better off without Billie Reed in his life.
After several catfights,
Anna encountered Billie alone on the docks
where she overheard a private conffession.
Billie had just disposed of the weapon she used
to shoot her mother Kate at a Celebration months earlier
and was horrified to see Anna was standing behind her the whole time.
Anna used her knowledge to blackmail Billie,
warning her to stay away from Roman.
Billie disregarded this threat,
and attempted to spike Anna's flute of Champagne with rat poison,
however the glass never reached the lips of her intended victim.

Billie was finally rid of Anna when the cruise came to a violent end.
Andre DiMera, who was posing as Tony at the time,
revealed himself as the ship's host and explained
how all would be left to die aboard the doomed cruise liner
while he escaped with Anna who insisted on taking Kim.
The trio left by helicopter, and all passengers were forced
to flee the ship before a bomb was detonated.

Having survived the choas aboard the Renee DuMonde,
Billie believed her problems were over.
She soon returned to Salem with Roman
under the impression that Anna was out of her life for good,
which she appeared to be at the time.
But Billie soon had new problems to deal with.
Though she truly believe she had conceived a child with Roman
her dreams were shattered when Dr. Bader's test results confimed
that Billie was not preganant, and to make matters worse,
she faced the risk of never being able to have children
due to the damage caused by her miscarriage.

Devastated by the news,
Billie stole a bottle of painkillers from  the hospital before leaving,
and began piecing together a plan to keep Roman.
She eventually came to the conclusion that Roman would leave her
if he learned the truth, so she decided to keep it a secret from him.
With many attempts,
Billie tried to conceive a child with Roman, but failed each time.
It was not long before Billie realized it was too late,
leaving her with no choice other than to fake her pregnancy.

With her life at such a high risk of falling apart,
Billie quickly fell back into addiction,
and began to combine her stolen perscription medication with alcohol.
It was not long before Billie arroused the suspicions
of Detective Gabriella Anderson who kept a close eye on Billie.
When Gabby discovered Billie was wearing padding to fake her pregnancy, she threatened to tell Roman,
but Billie raced to the police station and intercepted
their conversation by pretending to faint.

Roman immediately brought his fiance to the hospital
where he asked Dr. Bader to make sure their baby was ok.
After Dr. Bader re-examined Billie, she was shocked and appalled
to learn that Billie was wearing padding.
She insited that Billie tell Roman the truth,
and voiced her suspisions concerning the medication
stolen from her cabinent, however Billie disregarded
her warnings and fled the hospital, but not before
stealing a bottle of stronger painkillers.

With a new enemy to dispose of,
Billie payed Dr. Bader a visit and threatened her
with legal reprecussion if she opened her mouth,
but the doctor told her it was a risk she was willing to take
as she would no longer allow Billie's lies to continue.
Dr. Bader threatened in return that the hospital would be
pressing charges for the stolen medication and ordered Billie to leave.

Determined to eliminate any threat to her happiness,
Billie broke into Dr. Bader's car
where she awaited her current foe.
When Dr. Bader eventually approached her vehicle,
she was run over and left for dead.

Gabriella who had witnessed the crime
got Dr. Bader the medical attention needed
but she was left in a coma, much to Billie's delight.
Billie took caution not to get caught for the hit and run,
making the incident appear like a car jacking gone wrong.
Unfortunately, she still had the issue of Gabriella to deal with.
The next day, she set out to find the detective
who was at the docks investigating the second attack
commited by the Midnight Raven.
The two women got into a confrontation,
which ended when Billie locked Gabriella in an abandoned shed.
Gabriella only managed to escape hours later
just in time to become the Raven's 3rd victim.

With Gabriella dead,
Billie had nothing left to fear,
however she continued to spiral downwards into heavy addiction.
She realized she had to act fast,
and demanded Roman set a date for their wedding.
The two agreed on a spring marriage
at the romantic Blanche Neige Cabin
and Billie began counting the days.
She decided that once she and Roman were married,
she would be able to fake a miscarriage,
knowing Roman would be far too dedicated to his vows
to possibly leave her, especially in such a vulnerable state.

The wedding day soon arrived
and Billie could not be happier,
although in her drug induced state,
she remained extremely paranoid.
With a gun hidden in her bouquet,
she finally took the long anticipated walk
down the aisle towards the man whom  she
now felt she needed to survive.
Billie and Roman were moments away from becoming
husband and wife when Anna DiMera interrupted the ceremony.
Anna announced to all that Billie not only shot her mother,
but was faking her pregnancy as well.
She continued to explain how shortly before her death,
Detective Anderson had been in contact with her and
advised her of all Billie's crimes,
including the hit and run attack on Dr. Bader.
Billie denied all of this, and struck Anna with a punch to the face.
Anna quickly retaliated by tearing Billie's gown
and revealed her padding.
Losing all control, Billie aimed her weapon at Anna, firing 3 shots,
2 of which hit her target in the shoulder.
With Anna silenced,
Billlie pleaded for Roman's forgiveness,
which she was harshly denied.
Hurt and angry by Roman's rejection,
Billie hurled her bouqet across the room,
knocking over several candlabra.
A massive fire soon engulfed the entire cabin and all scurried to flee.
Anna was saved from the cabin along with everyon else who was inside,
but Billie was never seen again.
