Last year, several surprises took place at the Last Blast 2001.
Determined to successfully humiliate her nemisis Chloe Lane
at this year's dance to make up for the prior year's failed attempt,
Jan Spears teamed up with Jason Masters to once again devise
a devious scheme.
This time, her plan was more technological than dumping sheep's
blood on Chloe, so she enlisted the help of Kevin Lambert,
who was known as Salem High's computer geek.
Jan's intentions were to degrade Chloe by by exposing her as
an internet porn model.
In order to do this,
she had Kevin create several flawless images
with Chloe's head pasted on the nude body of an
adult porn star and planned to reveal the explicit
photographs as Chloe was crowned Queen of the Last Blast.
All seemed to be going in Jan's favor as the anticipated moment approached, however Kevin had secretely grown
to disapprove of her plan when he realized just how malicious
she truly was. Although it was too late for him to
prevent the incident he helped create from happening
he decided to at least give Jan a taste of her own medicine.
Kevin's plan consisted of stealing Jan's diary from her locker
and making several copies of personal entries she had written
which revealed her desires to kiss Kevin despite his lack of popularity.
Finding a partner in Mimi Lockhart who had also grown tired
of Jan's callous behaviour, Kevin was set to carry out his plan
by the end of the night.
As the Blast reached it's finale,
Philip and Chloe were proclaimed the event's King and Queen
for the second year in a row. The two stepped up to the podium completely unaware of what was about to happen next.
Before Chloe could speak a single word of acceptance,
the song Bootyliscious began to play and the lights went off
as a projection screen was lowered in the background behind her.
Suddenly, the doctored images of Chloe were put on display,
leaving several to question their realism.
One of the doubting students was Philip himself,
who was too shocked by the possiblity of his girlfriend
posing nude on the net that he refused to even check on Chloe
when she ran out of the building in tears.
Instead, Brady Black followed her outside to offer his support.
Jan marveled at the success of her plan,
when suddenly she began to notice several students were
reading sheets of paper that had been handed out to them.
Soon, the entire crowd was laughing, many with their fingers
pointed at Jan. Growing concerned by this, she grabbed a copy
of the paper from Jason and was appalled to see her personal diary entry
had become public knowledge.
Jason, who felt betrayed by Jan's interest in Kevin,
dumped her in front of everyone, moments before a Detective
from the Salem PD arrived with questions regarding her involvement
in what had transpired earlier in the night.
We later learned that Mimi was responsible for the tip off.
Jan who failed to realize the serverity of her actions was far more concerned with discovering who had distributed copies of her diary.
In her enraged state, she visciously attacked an onlooker leaving the Detective to escort her out of the building.
