I know that you've probably heard all of this before on some other page
and I apologize ahead of time for that. Unfortunately, until James gives
me an exclusive interview (and we all know when THAT will happen) all I
can do is regurgitate some of my favourite facts about the man behind the
fangs.
Birthdate: November 14th, 1971
Birthplace: Modesto, California, USA
Current Residence: Los Angeles, California, USA
According to various sources I have scoured, James is a lefty (though some of us prefer the term 'southpaw') with a real talent for the arts. He paints, plays guitar, and is an accomplished actor of both stage and screen. He loves violent movies (just like every other male under thirty I know of) and tinkering around under the hood of his car (just like almost every male under thirty I know).
I don't think I have to tell you that he has to bleach his hair to play
Spike (that colour is rather difficult to find in nature you know) or that
the dreamy accent is not his own and probably the product of many many
hours studying with a dialect coach.
I must give the man kudos for putting up with all those touch ups he
has to endure to keep the flawless platinum look
(I was a platinum blonde for a while myself and I know what one goes
through for that 'Jean Harlow' look).
James is said to have been signed to star in the next Batman Movie (lets
hope it's better than the last two). He would be playing tragic screen
god-turned-super villain Matt Hagan aka Clayface. (I know that might sound
a little trite, but come on! How many Batman villains aren't tragic victims
of circumstance?!?)
Thanks to the Internet Movie Database
for the following Filmography.
(Film) The House On Haunted Hill, 1999 : Unknown as of yet
(TV) Buffy The Vampire Slayer, 1999 season : Spike (credited
cast)
(TV) Angel, 1999 : Spike (guest)
(TV) Millennium, 1999 - 'Collateral Damage'
: Eric Swan
(If you missed the original
airing of this episode I strongly suggest you keep an eye out during re-run
season. James is
beyond heart-breaking
as an unintended victim of the Millenium Group's work. He also proves that
he can cry on cue.)
(TV) Buffy The Vampire Slayer, 1997 : Spike
(TV) Molony, 1996 - (No idea who he played . . . sorry)
(TV) Medicine Ball, 1995 - (No idea yet again who he played . . . sorry)
(TV) Northern Exposure, 1993 - 'Grosse Pointe
48230' : Reverend Dwight Harding
(The most adorable performance
I have ever seen! If you can get your hands on it, watch for the scene
with Stephie in
the kitchen.
You'll laugh 'til you fall off the sofa!)
(TV) Northern Exposure, 1992 - 'It Happened In
Juneau' : The Bellhop
