MICROSOFT SOFTWARES
How to Get Free Software!
Congratulations! You now
have access to the same information hundreds and thousands of people are using
to obtain free full and pre-release version software directly from Microsoft.
To use this program you will have to be conected to the Internet.
You do NOT need a Vendor's or Reseller's license. You do not need to
make any purchases to qualify. You do not need to sell or distribute
anything. You do not need to lie, cheat, or steal. This
program works for you because Microsoft wants to do whatever it can to sell
their software. One of the many ways they generate sales is by
giving away free copies of their software to potential customers for trial.
Microsoft Direct Access (MSDA). It was designed with dealers and
technology providers in mind but it is open to anyone who signs up.
It's located at:
http://www.microsoft.com/directaccess
The secret to your success will be at their free local events held all over the
country; all you have to do is show up. You may have to sit through
a new product preview or seminar but they are often as short as 30 minutes
(hardly any effort for receiving an armful of goodies).
MSDA Quarterly Briefings are the place to be! These are free events
that focus on currently launching products and provide previews of upcoming
technologies. Forums deliver technical information and the attendee
always walks away with an Attendee Kit overflowing with evaluation products,
detailed product information, beta releases, as well as free full versions of
popular software. These are not demos or crippled versions, but full
versions! The idea behind the program is that the people receiving
the software will see how great Microsoft's products are and want to buy 50 or
more copies for their business or organization. You're not obligated
to make any purchases, but Microsoft hopes that you will. To locate
and register for a briefing in your area, simply visit:
http://www.microsoft.com/directaccess/resources/sb_eventsearch.htm
Also, some events and seminars have expos where software vendors other than
Microsoft give away their latest products free so you'll never know what you'll
find!
But you said I didn't have to be a computer reseller to sign up for this
program: And you don't!
Just register yourself as someone who makes computer purchasing decisions,
because it is a true fact that you do! If you have ever bought a
computer or software application then you are someone who makes purchasing
decisions. Even if you have not made any purchases, you are still
someone who makes purchasing decisions. It just happens all of your
decisions have been not to buy.
What else is available at Microsoft Direct Access?
The Direct Access Action Pack:

Overloaded with products and support materials, this package also includes books
and manuals for the reviewer to peruse at their leisure. And to top
it off - training vouchers, access to no-charge telephone support, and special
offers from third parties provide even more value. You can't go
wrong. To order or see what's included in a Microsoft Direct Access
Action Pack, go to:
http://www.microsoft.com/directaccess/products/actionpack.htm
Listserv (Mailing list): Free access to updated information.
Let Microsoft inform you of new products and informative abstracts at a glance
and automatically. Scan headlines that are of interest and keep up
with the flood of industry information so you'll know when to look for new
software. Sign up today at:
http://register.microsoft.com/regwiz/forms/PICWhyRegister.htm
Technical Trainings: Convenient, affordable training is available to
Microsoft Direct Access program participants through one-day, "quick
start" courses. Microsoft Certified Training Instructors
deliver concentrated, hands-on product reviews. For details go to:
http://www.microsoft.com/directaccess/resources/gettrained/gettrained.htm
There are a few events that are not free (most are), so only attend the free
ones if you don't want to spend any money. Also, not every seminar
gives out free software. You will need to read the descriptions
carefully to see which ones do and which ones don't.
Well, like I said, this is really very simple but it does take a little effort.
