Alyssa Milano
Alyssa Milano's career started when her parents took her to the theatre to see Annie when she was just
seven years old. She told them, ' I can do that ' and a year later, she landed the part of July in the very same play!
Following her stage debut, Alyssa got a part in the musical version of Jane Eyre, playing Adele. Shortly
after, she also landed a role in Tender Offer and All Night Long in New York.
Her big screen debut came in 1983 when she appeared in Old Enough. She started to audition for TV shows
and bagged the part of Samantha Micelli, Tony Danza's daughter, in the hit show Who's Boss?.
After ABC Television Network moved the show to a primetime slot, it hit the big time and all Alyssa's
family moved to Los Angeles. Enjoying her small screen success, Alyssa also ventured back into the movies, starring alongside
Arnie in Commando as his daughter. She also appeared in teen TV movies such as Crash Course and Dance til Dawn.
After an eight year spell in Who's Boss?, Alyssa manged to re-invent herself, shedding her child star
image. Like Drew Barrymore, she made the transition to more 'adult' films such as Embrace, Poison Ivy 2 and the Amy Fisher
story.
Alyssa has also played alongside other luminaries such as John Candy, Jonathan Silverman of TV's The
Single Guy, Will Smith, Sean Astin and Christian Slater.
Other credits include Casualties of Love, The Surrogate, Candles in the Dark, Where the Day Takes You
and Glory Daze.
Her role in Poison Ivy 2 raised a few eyebrows - some describing it as soft porn. Her mother, Lin Milano,
has since waged war on websites that have been reproducing these pictures of Alyssa in states of undress. Her campaign has
been so successful, word on the web is that no one will ever promote Alyssa again for fear of being on the receiving end of
her mother's complaints/harassment. (She founded safesearching.com to stop websites publishing any nude pictures of her and
even successfully sued a webmaster in Minnesota for $230,000. Although her mother is clearly against nude material being used,
Alyssa is quoted as saying she doesn't regret any of her nude work.
In 1996, she starred alongside Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg in her first major production Fear
and then made Hugo Pool. Soon afterwards, she returned to TV to star in Aaron Spelling's hit soap Melrose Place, with Heather
Locklear, as Jennifer Mancini. Two years with Aaron Spelling led to the part of Phoebe Hallliwell in Charmed, which has bought
her international fame and success.
After keeping a low-profile lovelife for years, Alyssa complained publicly of the lack of nice men
in her life. She finally got lucky and met Cinjun Tate, lead singer of the band Remy Zero. The couple wed on 1st January 1999,
but she filed for divorce on November 25th, citing irreconcilable differences. The marriage was short lived, but was long
enough for paparazzi to snap the honeymooning couple naked on the isle of St Barts applying sun cream on each other's bits.
Alyssa has not had much luck with men. Her first boyfriend allegedly punched her when she tried to
kiss him, the next one made her so paranoid that he was being unfaithful that she followed him everywhere and her brief engagement
to Double Dragon co-star Scott Wolf also ended in tears.
She is reported to have given up on celebrity boyfriends and is apparently dating a grip from her current
set. Can't blame her it appears Holly Marie Combs is also dating one of the Charmed crew.
Another string to her bow is her pop career! Alyssa has recorded five albums in Japan, all of them
so successful they went platinum. She even performed live at a festival in Japan in front of a 40,000 strong crowd. She also
appeared in Blink 182's video 'Josie' as a cheerleader in 1998.
