Irena Sedlecka was a Laureate of the state in the early 50's and now lives in London.
She is a fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, and a member of the Society of Portrait Sculptors.
The statue, standing 3 meters high, is situated in Montreaux Switzerland overlooking lake Geneva, and was unveiled on November 25th 1996 by Montserrat Caballé.
