Doren Kahl
Doren is the story's antagonist, at least for now. While he's very skilled at being a manipulater, his own past is a complete mystery. He managed to get himself into a powerful position in Aphroa by staging the death of Karista and healing of Amelia when the two were born, and no doubt is plotting something even more wicked considering his capture of Prince Teran at some unknown date. His control of King Edward earned Doren the undying hatred of Princess Amelia, and also the nickname of "Doren-baka" (of course, only Amelia calls him that). What is Doren's motivation? Personality: While he's extremely cold and cruel, Doren never overdoes anything. He does not tend to retaliate with extreme vengence if it is unnecessary. Yet he seems to relish destruction... Comments: Doren's got a long backstory, but you won't be seeing it soon. Right now, just remember-he's the bad guy. OR IS HE?! HAHAHAHAHAHA! I came up with the name "Doren-baka" because I wanted Amelia to call him something bad, but realized that Amelia, even in a fit of rage, wouldn't use a swear word, so I wanted it to be something cutesy-mean. I doubt that "baka" is commonly used as an honorific, though^^; He was drawn several times to get his appearence right. In fact, his face was extremely bony when I sent it off to OtakuWorld the first time. Right before the first chapter was posted, I sent in a revised Chapter 1 with a new look and that's the one he has today. I'm annoyed, though-Doren looks much older than he should. I want him to look like he's in his mid 30's to early 40's. He still looks awfully old.
