My Reviews For Mark, Fred and Kurt
MARK RICHARD FORD: COLLINS

Where do I start with this man? Perhaps I should start with the fact that as soon as he opens his mouth and sings his first note, you think you are hearing the voice of an angel...and gee by the time he gets to the "I'll Cover You" Reprise...you are certain of it! With even the hardest hearted person having tears bought to their eyes. He is so passionate... often crying himself when performing that song!

To say that Mark has a strong voice is the understatement of the year! Mark's voice is phenomenal! He clearly has had a Gospel influence in his career, and we totally admire him for bringing it into his performance in RENT.

Mark's acting isn't so bad either. Opell and Mark work really well together and I thouroughly enjoyed their performance!

Mark will be sadly missed now that he's gone home to the USA. Thankyou Mark for touching us so deeply!

___________
FRED JONES: BENNY

Fred was one funny guy on stage!!! Vocally fantastic, and a terrific dancer to boot!

Let me tell you that I couldn't keep my eyes off of Fred during his dance in "Contact"... he clearly works out and is a FANTASTIC dancer. I loved the way that the dance split him from walking over to the main group and with the dancing with Cecilia.

Fred was fantastic in "Happy New Year" and he totally MADE that song! His sly smirk towards Mimi when he's talking to her, and his smug look toward Roger when he's singing about Mimi. And the best part of that song was when he rubbed himself and said "I think I'm still Sore"

Fred, you are a fabulous singer, and since you are still in Sydney we hope that we'll be able to look out for you and see you perform elsewhere!!!

KURT KANSLEY: SWING

Kurt only joined the cast for approximately the last month of the season. I got to see him on two occasions though, in two rather different roles.

The first time I saw Kurt onstage he played The Waiter and Others... and I have to say...that if Matty Lee was the master of this role... Kurt was certainly his top student. Kurt was a fantastic and energetic waiter, and I found him to be a pleasure to watch.

The second time I saw Kurt was during closing week when he played Clifton's role as the Christmas Caroler and others. Vocally I thought Kurt was quite good, but his acting skills I would have to say are phenomenal! He performed the most hilarious La Vie Boheme ever. He had the entire cast in stitches. His "EEEEWWWW" would have to go down in history as the funniest moment in the show! We were laughing so hard tears were running down our faces! He had a really strange face he was pulling also. He totally made that show and we felt so privilaged to be able to watch such a fantastic performer.

Kurt certainly has a career in acting ahead of him if he chooses to pursue it!
