"A stretch of desert, an expanse of sea, a blanket of forest, a checkerboard of crops. Familiar, scenic vistas, but nothing out of the ordinary-unless you know how to look.
Using hyperspectral imagery, detailed pictures emerge: a camouflaged vehicle, an area teeming with fish, trees growing at different rates, fertile land underused.
By seeing what can't be seen by the human eye, hyperspectral imagery provides humankind a powerful tool to help classify objects, measure productivity and identify trends (1)."
