Fledglings: Khayman, Enkil. Many Unknowns.

Mortal Background/History: In the 4th Millenium B.C, Akasha grew up in the city of Uruk; the Tigris and Euphrates Valley in Ancient Egypt. She became young King Enkil of Kemets bride and put an end to all cannibalism in the Nile Valley; those who disobeyed were put to death. This was when mummification began to prevent others eating the flesh of the dead, for it was tradition.

When the young twin witches, Maharet and Mekare, became known among the King and Queen, chaos followed. Since the twins' village was quite a fair distance from the Nile Valley they did not obey the rules of cannibalism. When the queen had heard of this she immediately sent the soldiers to destroy the helpless villagers for their savagery merited it. The twins were brought in front of the royals. Akasha asked many questions of the witches' powers.

With Akasha's curiosity at large, she was attacked by Amel, an evil spirit who had the ability to draw blood. Finally the twins were released after the incident but soon after, Mekare sent Amel against them again. The King and Queen took refuge in Khayman's house, unfortunately Amel went with them. For two whole nights the King and Queen remained with Amel. This was the perfect time for the King and Queen to be destroyed by the people who still believed in the religion of flesh-consuming. The flesh eaters nearby thrust their daggers into the King and Queen's chests. Khayman rushed to their aid when he heard their screams and it was then he witnessed Akasha's transformation. A great reddish cloud enveloped her as she lay on the floor writhing as if in agony. Suddenly, as if drawn to her wounds, the cloud disappeared. Akasha was reborn as the first vampire in the flesh.

Immortal Background/History: Confused and whimpering she immediately made Enkil into the creature she was, hungering for his blood. After one day of their change, they gradually discovered the powers they possessed from the new blood. Akasha and Enkil, on the basis of the myth of Osiris and Isis, founded a new worship proclaiming themselves gods. Wanting to use their gift for good they once more consulted with the twins. Mekare's theory was that the spirit Amel had undergone a change for itself and was now running in the veins of the King and Queen. The only way to be rid of the spirit was to destroy Akasha since she was the first one made. When Akasha heard this she accused the twins for putting this curse on her and the King. Locking them up in stone coffins, one was sent to the west and the other to the south never to be united again.

She eventually fell into an unusual slumber of sorts, with Enkil, and remained this way even when she was put into the sun in the 1st Century B.C.

Discovered by Marius some time later, Marius became the Egyptian King and Queens keeper, moving them to Antioch. Many times she was situated in different places by Marius, to ensure her safety.

In 1984, she is awoken by Lestats music and drains Enkil of his blood, killing him. In that same year, she kidnaps Lestat and exterminates nearly the whole of the vampire population. After that, she slaughters many human males in order to complete her plans to save the world and rid it of war and the such.

Akasha was destroyed by Mekare in 1984.
