Chapter 3.

The following night

I had slept that day on my private jet, with the others. A whole day locked in the arms of Marius, my head firmly pressed against his strong torso. Beside him Pandora slept her hand was so soft resting across my back as if in an attempt to hold us both. The smell of their perfumes was delicious while I lay pressed between them.

Sybelle slept in the leather arm chair, her head tipped back to reveal how delicate her swan-like neck is. Benji knelt at her feet, his head resting in her lap and her hand lay as if shed been mussing his hair before the paralysis of sleep took them both.

That covers all of Marius fledglings, but what of my own. Well I have but one, his name is Daniel, and he was also accompanying us to Lestat's house in New Orleans. He was bundled up on the sofa when I awoke this evening, ashen hair in disarray, violet eyes closed to the world.

I'm not sure how much time passed since we landed, so I really don't know how long the drive from the airport to the Rue Royale is. A small smirk crossed my face as I approached the front door, I was excited I know! The only thought in my head being how surprised Lestat and Louis would be to discover all the others I'd brought with me. I had also made certain word of the concert was spreading fast and thick through the coven of the articulate so Lestat would be pleased, I'm sure that even Louis would be pleasantly surprised.

I rapped loudly three times on the door, the others crowded behind me; I could feel the buzz of anticipation sweeping through them. Foot steps, coming to answer the door, it was Louis foot falls, yes I recognised that more human then most way of walking.

The door opened to reveal a tall man with raven black hair and beautiful emerald green eyes, he was dressed in a baggy sweater and well worn jeans.

"SURPRISE LOUIS!" I shouted jumping into his arms, I entwined my arms about his waist and held tight.

He stood speechless for a moment, and then he began to make strange strangled stuttering noises. I could tell it was no doubt because he was overwhelmingly happy at my bringing everyone over to stay with him.

"Erm..Armand.. I was under he impression that it was only you coming to stay whats going on?" I nearly melted with the French accent.

"Well thats the surprise isnt it? I was meant to be the only one, but I was able to convince all the others as well!" Oh the look on his face was priceless; he was so incredibly pleased at what I'd done his whole face was blank. He even lapsed back into his adorable speechlessness because he was so pleasantly surprised.

That was when I heard the voice from behind him. "Louis is that Armand here already?" it asked in another wonderful purring French accent. This was so wonderful!

"Lestat!" I brushed past Louis and saw the blonde French noble rising from his chair to greet me.

I could hear Marius sorting out getting all our things inside, but at the moment I was pre-occupied with the figure before me.

"How have you been Armand?" His face lit up when he heard the goings on in the hall. "You brought Marius!?"

"Yes, along with Benji, Sybelle, Daniel and even Pandora!" He crossed the room quickly to my side and I slowly moved to hug him gently. Its not like jumping on the far weaker Louis, you have to careful with Lestat who is full of the blood of the ancients and extremely powerful, one has to be weary of this combined with his flamboyant nature.

Just then Louis came in and closed the door behind him, as if that would stop the others hearing what he had to say.

"Lestat how can we possibly put up this many guests?!"

Lestat laughed at him, "Well manage dearest." Louis face was awash with despair as he contemplated what they could do.

"Listen Louis, we can put Benji and Sybelle comfortably in Claudias old room and David can sleep with you in your room with Daniel."

"What and you put Marius, Armand and Pandora in with you?"

"No I thought they would like to sleep in the old kitchens or maybe......"

"What and you hog your room all to your self! Not happening darling, the kitchens are a shameful mess so were all going to have to share." Lestats face fell for a brief moment before he looked up again.

"What if..."

".NO!"

"But...."

"Its not happening!"

Lestat pouted and skulked out the room, to show his guests to their new quarters. Stopping only to call back:

"Armand, you may have to go in with Benji and Sybelle that room is slightly larger."

"I will Lestat." It was the petit figure of Pandora from the top of the stairs, her long brown hair hanging in front of her shoulders as she gazed down.

"Very good." He said as he reached for Pandoras hand to kiss like a gentleman before leading her gently to the room in question.

I hadn't seen or heard David and wondered if he knew what was happening to his room. As if Louis had read my thoughts (which couldn't be the case as he was too weak a vampire for that wasnt he?)

"David has been in England the last month; he'll be back by the end of the week." I stared at Louis stunned; he must have read my thoughts. But he didn't look at me instead stood staring off out the window.

I decided to go upstairs and un-pack, since we were all going to be staying for a while. On the way up I ran into Lestat again who lead me to his room, which despite the argument below had to be the biggest room surely!

Marius was busy unpacking from an over sized suitcase and all the coffins were being brought in and positioned by Daniel.

"So Lestat, how did you get Louis to go along with this?" Marius asked in his parental manner of enquiring, cobalt blue eyes coming to rest on his host.

The Frenchman sighed. "Well I'd be very upset if he didn't" He turned away trying to conceal a smirk.

"You emotionally blackmailed him didnt you?!" I couldnt understand why Marius was so shocked, was it not the obvious choice of action?

"Ssssshhhhh Marius, he might hear you!" Lestat whispered. "Do you want him to sulk around the house for the next few weeks?"

"Well no."

"Good its settled then, no one is to say anything." He spun on his heel and went out to check the person in question, calling his name as he went. "Looooooooouuuuuis!"
