Summary
"The Legend Of The Condor Heroes 94" Is the touching love story of two teenagers,Guo Jing and Huang Rong.In this series, and novel, the moral standards of life in the pugilistic world is established, and in the sequel "The Condor Heroes 95" Yang Gou would be the one who destroys these standards.
Starring the beautiful Chu Yan as Huang Rong. Huang Rong is an extremely quick witted and beautiful girl. She is the daughter of "Dong-Xie" Huang Yao-Shih, one of the five most powerful and feared character in the pugilist world. In the novel, Huang Rong is to be still in her 15's or 16's .In my opinion, Chu Yan is indeed the right person to starr as Huang Rong.
Cheung Chilam starr as Guo Jing. Guo Jing's character is actually the direct opposite of Huang Rong. He gives everyone the impression that he is very slow-witted. He is often reprimanded by his mentor "Bei-Gai" Hong Qi-Gong, one of the five most powerful and feared character in the pugilist world, for being too slow to understand his teachings. However thanks to his stubborness and perseverance, he was able to master an extremely powerful martial art called "Xiang Long Shi Ba Zang" or also called "Palms of the Eighteen Dragons". Despite the flaw of him being slow-witted, he is an extremely righteous and kind person. He is very loyal to his country and later his country from the "Jin" Empire , the Mongolians.Julian makes the perfect Guo Jing! Personally ,to me, he is very handsome!
Upon reaching the age of 18, Guo Jing and his six mentors, known as the "Seven Freaks" left Mongolia to attend a meeting with the Quanzhen Taoist knowned as Qiu Chuji. On their way to the meeting place, something couped up and Guo Jing was instructed to travel alone. During his journey, he took pity on a beggar but unknown to him, the beggar was actually Huang Rong in disguise. As a result of Guo Jing's kind actions, Huang Rong became fond of him. This marked the beginning of a long adventure. Guo Jing was still not aware that Huang Rong is a female until when she told him later on in the story.
Later on,as a result of Huang Rong's superb cooking, Hong Qi-Gong, an extremely greedy martial arts master, had no choice but to give in Huang Rong's requests to make Guo Jing his student and Guo Jing became Hong Qi-Gong's disciple. Under his guidance, Guo Jing mastered the formidable "Xiang Long Shi Ba Zang" which when combined with his sworn-brother's,Zhou Bo-Tong's "Zhuo You Hu Bo Su" and later "Jiu Ying Zhen Jing" made him able to even match his mentor, Hong Qi-Gong and his father-in-law, Huang Yao-Shih's might!!
Huang Yao-Shih is an extremely arrogant person who never admits his mistakes. However, he is also a very intelligent man and as a result, he refused to betroth his daughter, Huang Rong to Guo Jing. This caused many unhappy misunderstandings such as him mistaking his daughter being dead and seeking revenge on Guo Jing's six mentors, the "Seven Freaks". Finally, he gave in to his daughter and acknowledged Guo Jing as his son-in-law.....
Well, althought there were many separations between Guo Jing and Huang Rong, Jin Yong ended this novel with the two lovers being together again.
