    Introduction

Hello, welcome to Star Wars RPG. This is a web-based Star Wars RPG, where you play inside de Star Wars Universe. You can choose to play as an Empire or a Rebel Marshal. You can buy stuff, hire special characters, create your fleet, domain planets and battle with others.

Step 1 - The Game Itself, how it works

As I have said above, you play as an Empire or a Rebel Marshal, having complete access to space and ground units. You start on a random planet with a few money to build what you want(you may want to build mines and refineries to increase your money). You also start with some soldiers and ships, provided by the Alliance or the Empire. Note that there isn't an upkeep tax, because the Rebel Alliance(or Empire) maintains your stuff, but if you hire someone, you will pay an upkeep tax.

There are many In-Game Events, such as earthquakes, natural disasters, new resource discover, etc. When you join the game, others won't be able to attack within 30 days(we say you're "Force protected" in this period). When the 30 days are out, you will have to worry about the other players(and you sure will). There are heroes in the game, such as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Jabba the Hutt, etc. At the beginning of the game you will also receive one hero(Imperial or Rebel). You may want to protect him/her at all costs, because if he is killed, Mon Mothma(if you're rebel) or the Emperor(if you're imperial) will become extremely MAD at you.

The Force is present in the game, and players can use it. Although, only Force capable characters are able to use it. Force capable characters have a "Force indicator" that shows how fluent he is with the Force. There are five Force Levels:
    [Novice(10)], [Trainee(20)], [Jedi Student(60)], [Jedi Knight(120)],
    [Jedi Master(200)], [Jedi Lord(350)].
Characters with a high Force Level will have higher chances of succeding any mission, and using Force Powers(harmless if Light Jedi, harmful if Dark Jedi). The Light Side of the Force has powers like Healing, Seeing, Shield, etc, while the Dark Side has powers like Lightning Bolt, Fireball, Explosions, etc. Although the Sides of the Force are very distinct from each others in their powers, all Jedis will have some powers like Force Pulling, Force Jump, Force Feeling, etc.
Anyone that has a Force Level of 120(Jedi Knight) or above will feel the presence of another Jedi(the higher the level, the higher the range). There are 2 ways of increasing the Force Level of characters: 1 - Game Events - encounters with powerful Jedis always adds points to your Force Meter. 2 - Training - A character must be a Jedi Knight before he can trains anyone. You can send your young Jedi to the Jedi Academy too, but there are many Jedis there, and many are from the Dark Side, so you'll find many enemies there, and you will not want to fight a Jedi Knight that can cut you all in pieces with his lightsaber when you're just a Novice, will ya? So, the best way is to let a friendly character train you. A player can have his character trained by another player if he has allies in the game. Yoda and the Emperor are ready to train anyone, but they can only train 1 Jedi at one, so you will have to compete with the other players. When the trainment is done(it takes 20/100 days, depending on trainer's skills and the one to be trained), your Force Meter will increase according to the trainment.

The Shokans are another kind of Jedis. They are neither Light nor Dark ones, they are neutral. That means they can use both Light and Dark Powers, making them splendid warriors. Sometimes one appear at the Cantina waiting to be hired... Or one character can discover he can be a Shokan instead of being a single Jedi, giving you a formidable fighter for all occasions.

    Step 2 - Combat

You can fight in a planet or in the space. Space ships cannot enter a planet, only ground forces are able to assault it. Although, if you're defending your planet, you CAN use starfighters to defend it, suck X-Wings or TIEs.

The Combats are made at ICQ or IRC and are very simple: it is based on turns, and the attacker always starts first. You have your turn, than your enemy, your ally, the pirates, and there it goes. At your turn, you assign a command to your forces. You may wish to defend an area, attack the fighters, attack the capital ships, retreat, etc. For example, your enemy says: Let my ISDs go after his Cruisers. And than you say: I want my starfighters to protect my cruisers from the ISDs attacks. Than your enemy says: Attack the fighters with my TIEs, and there it goes. Important: if one of the players don't show up, the battle will be done automatically.

Well, I think this gives you a general idea of the game, but the best thing to do is to try it out! Come on, join us and have a nice stay great warrior! (Uh, great warrior? War doesn't make one great - Light Jedi Master Yoda).
