The cast of Ryan's Hope

Ilene Kristen tells Hannibal Penney, Jr. (right) that brunettes have more fun, while associate producer Monroe Carol says,  "It's a black wig!"

Although they're lovers on the show, offstage Kate Mulgrew was the one wearing the pants, fedora and turtleneck as she hugged co-star Michael Levin. the only thing spoiling Kate's effect were her lovely earrings.

There's nothing an Irishman likes better than a party. Too Bad Bernard Barrow isn't really Irish! Actually, he and wife, Joan Kaye, were having a great time.

Is this the way for rivals for Frank Ryan's affection are supposed to look? Yes! say Nancy Addison (left) and Ilene Kristen, who are really pals.

Helen Gallagher found a soft shoulder pad to lean against in Robert Myrhum, director of Ryan's Hope. They both agreed that the show was off to a good start.

Michael Fairman plays that foul man, Nick Szabo, on the show. But Mike's really someone everyone enjoys having at a party.

If this was an outdoor party R.H. director Lela Swift would  have found ample shade under the tall form of actor Earl Hindman.
