Banding Styles

Banding can be added to the bottom of the skirt in rows of 1, 3, 5 or 7 bands. Typical band styles are described below and samples are shown in the following image. There are literally thousands of combinations to satisfy your imagination. If you happen to pick a combination that doesn't work well together, I will gladly advise you of alternate solutions.

Band 1 is a composite band made up of a row of lace beading with ribbon framed with lace insertion on either side - Style LI-LR-LI.

Band 2 is a single puffing strip - Style PF.

Band 3 is a repeat of Band 1 - Style LI-LR-LI.

Band 4 consists of 5 rows of pin tucks - Style PT5.

Band 5 is a repeat of Band 1 - Style LI-LR-LI.

Band 6 is a single puffing strip - Style PF.

Band 7 is a repeat of Band 1 - Style LI-LR-LI.

  • PF - Puffing Strip
  • PT3 - Pin Tucks - 3 rows
  • PT5 - Pin Tucks - 5 rows
  • SE - Swiss Embroidery
  • LI - Lace Insertion
  • LB - Lace Beading
  • LR - Lace Beading with Ribbon
  • HS - Hem Stitch
