an old friend returns...different...

The Doctor and Debbie left the shop with several purchases to their name. So far their quest for shoes had resulted in fourteen new pairs of heels for the Doctor and a single pair of trainers for Debbie.
The Doctor looked at Debbie. “Have you considered boots hmmm? You’ve got very good legs for boots and you don’t have to have anything over three inches on the heel if you’re not happy.”
Debbie looked down at her feet. “Why do I need more than one pair of shoes Doctor? It would be wasteful to have more pairs than I will ever wear, I don’t think it would be very economical and unfair to other women who might need those shoes.”
The Doctor shook her head. “I really need to have a proper lecture to you about fashion young lady. It’s very important to have a good pair of walking shoes, especially when you’re travelling with me, as there are lots of corridors to run up and down. However it’s also important to have the right pair of shoes to match your handbag.”
“I do not possess a handbag Doctor.” Debbie reminded the Doctor. “These trousers have pockets.”
The Doctor’s face took on an even more astonished look. “Well once we’ve got you the shoes I’m buying you a couple of handbags. You can get lots of things inside a good handbag. Have a look at what I have in mine, lipsticks, eye shadow, lip-gloss, some things for when I’m due and of course my sonic screwdriver. You see how useful a good handbag is? I could fit a whole leg of lamb in here if necessary and still have room for all the garnish.”
Debbie nodded. “Ok then, I will let you buy me a pair of boots and a matching handbag. I don’t want to put a leg of lamb in it though, unless you think it’s necessary. Webbi does need to eat quite often and we should be prepared.”
The Doctor was about to agree with Debbie when she spotted her former companion Claire and another women who seemed to remind her of someone she once knew. “Claire, over here!” The Doctor waved her arms to attract her friend’s attention.”
Claire waved over to the Doctor and pulled a reluctant Angelica along with her. “Come on, she’ll be thrilled to see you again.”
Debbie looked at the Doctor’s friends and smiled, as they both seemed very nice and friendly.
“Hello Claire.” The Doctor hugged her dear friend. “Who’s your friend? It’s not Haana is it? She hasn’t regenerated again?”
Claire shook her head. “Why don’t you have a good look at her and have a guess?”
The Doctor looked at the slender blonde woman. “It’s not Geokai is it? She was really looking forward to being male when she regenerated.”
“It’s not Geokai Doctor.” Claire replied. “Here’s a clue. She used to be a bloke.”
“Leokai?” The Doctor hazarded a guess.
“Doctorburg nil points.” Claire shook her head. “This is Angelica Mason, you knew her when she was called David. She’s my twin sister. Doctor?” Claire looked down to see that the Doctor had passed out with the shock.
Debbie looked at the other two. “Has she done this before?”
Claire nodded. “Yes, when Haana and I dropped her favourite teapot. We should get her back to the TARDIS. Haana and Leokai have taken your friends on a little journey to give us some time with the Doctor. Can you help me lift her up?”
The three women carried the Doctor back to the TARDIS and let her rest on the sofa in the console room until she recovered.

Claire tried to discourage Debbie from eating the sugar as she made a really nice cup of tea for everyone and was forced to distract her with a slab of nougat until she could get the required amount of sugar into everyone’s cups. She was not surprised when Debbie claimed she took 47 spoonfuls of sugar in her tea. “Ok now lets drink up while we wait for the aroma of tea to arouse the Doctor from her slumber.
“Are these suitable garments to wear?” Debbie lifted her skimpy t-shirt to show Claire and Angelica her bra. The she unzipped her leather trousers and pulled them down to show them her briefs. “The Doctor says that they’re snug but to be honest I don’t see the need for them.”
“They’re very nice.” Claire said cautiously. “Sometimes its presentation that counts more than comfort.”
“Are you sure?”
Angelica nodded. “You’re a seriously hot chick, if only you were gay.”
Debbie nodded. “The Doctor says that I am sometimes sullen and vague. She too says I should be happier from time to time.”
“She means, no never mind. Better put them back on, we don’t want my sister to drown on her own drool.
Debbie restored her clothing to what it used to be. “I could do with more sugar.” She dunked her spoon into the sugar bowl once again.
Angelica was just dunking another digestive biscuit in her tea when the Doctor stumbled groggily through the door.
“Don’t eat all the sugar Debbie, there’s a good girl. It’ll go straight to your hips and bottom, ah Claire I had the funniest dream about you. You said that a rather beautiful blonde girl was your dear departed brother David.
Angelica took a hold of the Doctor’s hand. “It’s true Doctor, I’m David. Well I was as David’s not a very suitable name for a woman is it? They wanted to call be Angie but I put my foot down and insisted on Angelica, it’s much more sexy as a first name isn’t it?”
The Doctor nodded her head dumbly. “Yes, well it is.” She then looked across at Claire. “I think you are going to have a very lot of talking to do young lady.”
Claire couldn’t help but smile at the Doctor. “Well it’s all quite bizarre and it started when I found Haana snogging that well fit chick, Soolin.”
The Doctor listened as Claire described finding the Borg, building long forbidden devices from the Black Scrolls of Rassilon and putting her brothers memories in the clone grown from her own DNA and the initial shock at finding that her brother was now her sister. “Well I think Leokai was very lenient with you Claire and she was right, meddling with things you don’t understand is not something you should be doing.”
“Talk about being a hypocrite.” Claire said quietly.”
“What was that?” The Doctor asked.
“I said I think Leokai looked burst to fit.” Claire replied. “Isn’t it great to have her back though? She’s even managed to get most of the basics down now. There are still some things to cover and she insists on wearing army surplus but all in all she’s done really well. Leokai even pierced her ears and Haana thinks we should set her up with this nice girl we know for a few dates.”
“I don’t want to date anyone.” Angelica didn’t want to tell anyone that she already had a rather cute girlfriend stowed away inside their ship.
“Quite right too Angelica.” The Doctor handed her friend another biscuit. “You don’t want to waste your time with all that silliness. You should be back at the Academy learning a trade like Haana did and your sister is on doing.”
“That may be a problem Doctor.” Claire said. “There’s good news and bad news.”
The Doctor rolled her eyes. “What’s happened now?”
“Gallifrey’s been invaded.” Claire told the Doctor how it had all happened.
“I see, I turn my back for five minutes and you let the place get invaded.”
“It’s not all bad news Doctor.” Claire couldn’t help but grin. “Haana and I are getting married. I would like you to give me away.”
Debbie swallowed her mouthful of sugar before speaking. “She’s fainted again.”
Angelica and Claire picked the Doctor up off the floor.
“What should we do?” Angelica asked.
“Make more tea.” Claire replied.
“Sounds like a plan, I seem to like it more now than I used to.”
“Ah well now you have taste.” Claire set about making a fresh pot of tea while her sister and Debbie stopped the Doctor from slumping out of her chair again.
Angelica looked across the room at her sister. “Remember when she used to bribe us with chocolate to tidy our rooms up?”
Claire nodded. “I think she was still unsure how to be feminine and authoritive back then so she would bribe us to do what she wanted.”
Debbie looked at the other women. “You couldn’t show me how to kiss could you? I’ve never had a boyfriend when I was alive. It sounds very interesting and I think lots of men are attracted to me. The Doctor says that I should wear more but well too many clothes are impractical aren’t they?”
“I’m spoken for.” Claire replied. “You do her, I mean show her how to snog Angelica.”
“The things I’m forced to do.” Angelica stood up and took the bimboesque beauty in her arms. “Wow, what a firm ass.”
“Many people who touch it have said so.” Debbie replied. “Why do people touch me there? Is it some sort of social ritual? Should I be touching your ass?”
“Yes please.” Angelica said before winking at Claire. “Now to kiss we let our lips touch and then if I’m lucky we use tongues.”
“There is no luck, I will do as you say.” Debbie started to kiss Angelica.
“She’s worse than me and Haana put together.” Claire looked at the unconscious form of the Doctor. “Quit it you two, I think she’s about to wake up.”
The Doctor’s eyes snapped open. “Married? You’re getting married?”
Claire nodded. “Angelica and Leokai are going to be my bridesmaids and Geokai is going to be Haana’s best woman. I want you to give me away, Haana has her father to give her away but all I have is you and fat ass here.”
Angelica laughed. “I remember when I used to call you that. I guess I’ll have to take the insult with grace like you used to.”
The Doctor nodded her head. “I’d be honoured to give you away, is Romana going to do the ceremony?”
“Yes, she’s looking up the rules and regulations of Gallifrey but we already researched them and as a former cardinal and as current President she’s the most qualified person for the job.” Claire’s eyes narrowed as she switched to gossip mode. “Besides she wants Andred to wear his dress uniform so she can look at his ass during the ceremony. I think those two are going to be next down the aisle.”
“Haana says she’s almost certainly knocked up.” Angelica added.
The Doctor looked at Angelica. “You’ve really grasped basic gossiping Angelica, have a Kit Kat Chunky. I know they’re your favourite.”
Angelica looked at the chocolate bar. “You know I’ve never realised before how much they look like a guys thing.”
“I taught her to say that.” Claire said to Debbie. “She really needs to hang around with lots of women so that she can learn to talk like us.”
“Do you want me to help? I have a good mouth for tongues.”
“Thanks.” Angelica said with a wink. “Have I told you how beautiful your eyes are?”
“She also needs help with her chat up lines.” Claire confessed to the Doctor. “All she’s had so far are the top 3000 from Haana’s repertoire. Mind you they worked on me so she must be teaching her something good.”
“Well I suppose I should buy myself a new suit I suppose. Have you set a date yet or should I just wait for the sales hmm?”
“Well we promised each other we’d wait until this war with the Rutans is over. We’re helping to liberate Gallifrey by drawing the Rutan attention away by stirring up their enemies. I want to make a movie of it all but Leokai’s very reluctant.”
“I want to win best actress award at the Oscars.” Angelica said with a flourish. “I’ve always wanted to be a successful actress and wear clingy dressed to the opening night.”
“Well at least it’s better than those army surplus trousers.” The Doctor said with a wink. “Why don’t you have a look around the TARDIS for a nice dress hmmm?”
“I’ve got dresses Doctor, but I want to put on a butch look just in case Haana’s hormones get the better of her sensibilities. Besides my girlfriend Jenna likes me to dress up like a soldier girl.”
“What?” Claire’s jaw almost hit the table in shock.
“Oh, erm I stashed Jenna away in my room. She’s tied up in my cupboard in case anyone walks in by mistake.”
“I think we need to have a long talk.” Claire stood up before sitting down. “Bloody hell I almost sounded like you Doctor I really gave myself a scare.” She looked at her sister. “Just make sure you remember to feed her, we don’t want you to find her bones a century later now do we?”
Angelica nodded. “Don’t worry, I’ll not forget her in a hurry.”
Debbie looked at Angelica and Claire. “Why do you not like boys?”
“I’ll explain later.” The Doctor said to her companion. “Much, much later.”

The Doctor waved as her two friends, now rejoined with Haana and Leokai, faded out of sight. She saw her current companions Bobby, Webbi and K-9 come into view and she greeted their return with a fresh cup of tea and a cheese scone for Bobby, a maggot and worm cake for Webbi and a bowl of oil for K-9.
Bobby nibbled his scone and looked at the Doctor. “You wouldn’t believe the adventure we’ve just had with those two insane women.”

The first part of a complex two part story.  Claire has brought her brother David back from death by cloning herself and finding the only remaining copy of David’s mind made while he was the Cybercontroller.  However things didn’t quite work out with the cloning process and instead of a brother Claire gets a sister, who takes on the name Angelica.  Thus the reunion between the Doctor and Angelica was both funny and imaginative to write.  Having so many characters together I felt it best to slpit the story up into two parts and split the characters up too.  Thus Claire, Angelica and Debbie stay with the Doctor until she recovers from the traumatic shock.
