Curriculum Resource Lending Library.
Every school in South
Carolina receives newly adopted books to teach from. South Carolina schools
have been throwing away their "out-of-adoption books" into
dumpsters, once they receive the "newly adopted books".
They also receive "sample" curriculum, from curriculum venders,
which is often thrown away too.
Our mission is to obtain as
many of these books and discarded vendor curriculum materials, which our schools are
throwing in the trash, from our public schools. If and we have obtained said
curriculum, we will distribute and recycle these books 100%
free to South Carolina Home Schools.
This will allow these
perfectly good books to continue to be used by home schooled children of the
tax paying citizens in South Carolina..
It has been said by a school
official, "You can't teach a child from old books and expect them to
learn new things." The Bible is one of the oldest books in the
world. It's text has been taught for centuries without change. The
debates and teachings of the bible and it's interpretation
varies from church to church and religion to
religion. However, the text of said book can still be referenced
and debated.
For many years, home schools
have gone dumpster diving to save the perfectly good, public school textbooks, from
destruction! We have always known there are children
that could, should, and would use these books, which allows for every
curriculum resource to be utilized.
We have heard for years that
our "public officials" need to raise our taxes, due to a lack of funds
for our "public schools" We have said for
many years, "Our public schools are wasting out tax dollars by throwing
away these books, which every home schooling
family taxes helped pay for in the first place. If the public schools
would rather throw these books in
the trash, instead of allowing home school families to use them in their
schools, we believe it is a mistake and a waste of our tax dollars. If
the schools can afford to throw these perfectly good books into the trash, then
we believe the public schools can afford to replace them
without asking for another tax hike to buy more! "One mans junk is
another mans treasure!"
Be pro-active today!
Contact every school and the school district in your area by emailing
them. Request that they stop throwing our tax dollars in the
trash. Ask them to contact one of the participating
