Biographical sketches are accessible by hyperlink for the eleven men listed below.   Most of these men had some relationship to the Tory, John Mayfield of Browns Creek, but, unlike Mayfield, they actively supported the Whig or Rebel Cause in the South Carolina Backcountry during the Revolution.
