Autumn plains & Winter Tundra

Stumped in Autumn plains? Can't get the missing 2 orbs and the rest of the gems? And you say you looked everywhere. You definitely didn't look in two places.

The 2 orbs can now be found! Just read on.
Outside Autumn Plains

1st orb: If you go past the Shady Oasis portal almost reaching Gulps overlook, and look closely on wall towards the left, you will see that it looks a bit destroyed. So just charge into it!then go on and you will find let's just say, a LOT of gems and the 1st orb.

2nd orb: From the place where you landed to get the first orb, you will see a runway like path. Glide there and walk to the end, you will see that the wall is again a bit destroyed. Just charge into it and then the 2nd orb will be revealed!

Can't find one of the Autumn plains's portal, called Zephyr? Well no problem. When you approach Ellora outside the castle, she will say that the whirlwind to metro speedway is now activated (it will be activated only if you again have enough orbs). If you go towards the left, you will see a staircase, go up and Moneybags will ask you for some money in return for the opening of  Zephyr.

Can't find icy speedway??? If you go further up towards Gulps overlook, you will see that there is a small ledge which you can glide from. If you look carefully, you will see some land. Glide there and Moneybags will again ask you for some money to open the portal. But it's worth it. In fact my favourite speedway in the whole game is icy speedway!

Fracture hills: It's a tough place all in all. Oh yeah and if you think you can kill those lousy earth shapers with a small flame or charge into them, you'd better think again because they have to be charged straight into the lava. You can't seem to get anything from Fracture hills? Well then you're going thru what I experienced when I first played the level. But it becomes easier.

1st orb: You can get the first orb by rescuing the trapped faun. What you MUST do first is:
Kill almost all the earthshapers, excluding the ones standing the place where Hunter is trapped in stone.
Kill all 18 of the moving bushes (yes, moving bushes. They eat you up), trees(only the ones which shake that hive) and the earthshapers and the super charge power up will be activated. Go through it and if you go carefully through the first, second and third door, you will suddenly be charging on a path (don't fall off!) and if you keep going, you will arrive right in front of the door.

2nd and 3rd orb: This should only be attempted prefferably AFTER you have acquired the headbash move.
You've been waiting to kill those supid earthshapers right?Well you can't until you finish escorting the alchemist to Hunter. To do it, (2nd orb) just go rushing in front of the alchemist in which ever direction he is about to go to, and charge (NOT supercharge) the earthshaper away. Or else you can leave your controller and see what happens to the alchemist. Do this in a sequence and you will help Hunter to get free. He then gives you the orb. After that he tells you that you have to learn the head bash move to help him kick some earthshaper butt! After you learn it, go back and Hunter will shoot the earthshaper with his arrow and you have to do your head bash on his tummy. Keep doing it and you will get your third orb. Mess up and the earthshaper will be on his two feet again and you will have to start all over (we all have to learn) Now you say you are still missing some gems. This is a good tip:
To help you locate the next gem, just press L1+R1+L2+R2. Sparx will then start pointing in the direction of the closest gem) look around and you will find it. They are all in a metal box, somewhere near the same supercharge path you took to rescue the trapped faun (Orb 1). When you do, you won't be able to use your headbash move to open it. You will have to super charge from the power up and go throguh each and every one of those doors until you get to the super charge path. From there, keep super charging downwards and you will find the box of gems. It's tricky to hit it but if your lucky, you may just get those gems.

Scorch:
A nice place to visit, you have to help agent Gretta rescue her brother Hansel, in return for a talisman. But, there are orbs, gems and lots more ahem, *surprises*.

Missing orbs: There are 4 orbs in all.
1st orb: This more or less after the second gate. Hunter will ask you to charge Flying over Scorchinto the palm trees (They aren't coconut trees. They only grow in tropical places) to drop those pesky monkeys into his little barrel. It's not tough, but all you have to do is keep an eye on which tree Hunter runs to.

2nd, 3rd & 4th orb: Yes, all 4 orbs can be found in the same place. After you recieve the talisman from Gretta, you will see Hansel standing near a super flame powerup. Your mission: To get all 3 flags from the flag keeper. He can be found on top of those places where you pushed that red button to open the gates. And with your super flame, you can aim at him all three times. but, for the last two orbs, just don't stop anywhere and charge. Then when he starts to throw those bombs at you, you just have to charge here and there AVOIDING them.

Shady Oasis :
This a really nice place. More or less like as if you're in the Middle East. So... did you really think this place was jinxed?

1st Orb : The first Orb will be given to you for chasing all the three thieves who have stolen the lamps. If you're familiar with Spyro the dragon, the first game, then you'll know exactly what you have to do. But if you aren't, you have to charge after those thieves, and cut them off or decieve them at some point or the other. You can also flame them when they are within your reach.

2nd Orb : The second orb will be given to you only when you have learnt the headbutt move. You can learn it from Moneybags in Winter Tundra. But it will be accessible only when you have finished Gulp. Then you will have to activate the shield powerup where you'll be able to go in the green lava. Then Grundy the hippo will ask you to help save her brothers and sisters. You can do that by headbutting them. A word of caution, however, don't let those hippos stay in the lava too long...

Missing gems: All the gems are visible from every where. They aren't that tough to find. But if you are having any difficulty, mail me on the first page.

Magma cone:
This is the second most toughest level in the game. It's just not easy!

1st & 2nd Orb: The first and second orbs can be found near the ladders which you used to climb up the upper part of the land. Jump on the upper part of the land, and if you look towards the right handside, you will see some more ladders. Glide over to them and when you reach the top, you will see an opening. Get onto it and fall down the hole in the middle. When you go further up, you will see Hunter standing there. He will ask you to catch the popcorn crystals. The first round requires 10 crystals and the second round requires 15 crystals. The first round is easy but the second one isn't. The easy way to catch the crystals is to jump when they pop up from the holes.

3rd Orb: This is the 'Part poopers' orb. You have to go through the super flight power up and collect the lava rocks. Aim them at the lizards and bang! They're gone! Then use the piece of land they were standing on to aim more rocks at th rest of them. Oh yeah, while you're in the air, you will get a chance to flame the  gem bottles attached to the balloon string.

Gulp:
Argggh! Run for your lives it's Gulpppp! No, it's just a big fat green dinosaur with blasters on his back. Right? Yes. He's easy to defeat. here are some tips:

1. Never EVER let a pterodactyl egg go to waste.
2. The objects which are found inside the eggs, can be used to hit Gulp. He
can't be flamed or charged. You'll be flattened.
3. a) A rocket: Swallow it and flame it at the direction where Gulp is standing.
    b) A big hollow tin: Charge it in Gulps direction.
    c) A bomb: Flame it. And run awaaayyyy!!!
4. Just incase you didn't know, Gulp likes eating anything and I mean
ANYTHING. He'll eat bombs and rockets and even that big metal tin. And
   your chickens. Poor things.

Music news | Summer forest (Spyro 2) | Autumn plains & Winter Tundra

Winter tundra:
Defeated Gulp? The story isn't over. You will be transported to Winter Tundra where Moneybags will ask you for some money to learn the headbash move. It's a very useful move in which you can learn the how tos of splitting rocks. There is even an orb in one.
2ns orb: You can get the second orb by going to the castle. From the top, glide to the left and you will land in some water. Keep diving and you will come out of an entrance in which the orb is floating on the water.

Metropolis: Can't kill the bull? These are some good pointers to keep handy:
1: The bull's level of energy remains the same even if you leave the arena. So this is a good thing in case you need to get some butterflies.

2: STAY AWAY from the bombs. And if you stand next to one which flickers (yellow)stay away from it too.

3: Flame the bombs. Don't charge into them. And this is an easier way to kill the bull by only flame the ones that he drops in the middle.

4: The ground is ice so you will be able to move smoothly. Now the bull will certainly be killed.

Can't figure out what the little metal man in metropolis means by
'a good whack will start it again' when you are near one of those elevator thingys? He means that you can use your head bash to make the elevator work.

Missing some gems?
Go to the inventor droid who has a special 2 in 1 super powerup(fire+flying ability)and blast the sheep both the times. Then fly around and collect all the treasure. Remember that metal box near the bull (Orb 1)? Go there and super flame it.

Cloud temples:
In cloud temples there are 3 orbs to get. The one i found the toughest was the secret agent zero challenge. You have to keep hiding behind trees and don't bump into him.

2nd orb and third orb: You have to freeze the trolls to ring the bells in the bell towers.this is not so tough.but if you are missing some gems(even if you have completed the agent zero challenge)then  you have to check on the highest bell tower.the troll that keeps running around.if you arrive just in front of the entrance to the last bell tower and look up towards the left, you will see a platform.there is a rocket on the platform which will blast the metal crate which you are probably wondering how to crack open next to agent zero.just ice the troll in front of the platform.and jump on it and the rocket will soon be on it's way!

Robotica farms: Wondering how to get some orbs?

Orb1: You can get the first orb by going and helping the farmer eradicate the bugs. This isn't so simple and the best way to do it is to hide behind one of those hill like things and then glide and flame.
But a word of warning! If you don't kill them almost one after the other, they will all come back.

Orb 2: The place where you can go for the orb challenge is to glide from where you recieve the orb and the portal opens up. Glide in the direction north where you will see a path blocked by huge pumpkins. Go and speak to the farmer and then go through the super charge and blast some pumpkins! And when you jump, don't press X twice or else your super charge will be lost. The last one is a bit tricky. But just press X once and you will blast that one too.

Don't know how to kill those annoying bugs that go spinning around?Just do your head bash on it twice and it'll be taken care of.

Mystic marsh:

1st orb:to get the first orb help the adventurer recollect his 4 missing spark plugs which have been stolen by the thieves.
1st plug: You can find the first plug near the adventurer.
2nd plug:You can find the 2nd plug next to the cauldron in the tunnel.
the easiest way to do it is to wait near the tunnel entrance until the thief passes you and flame it.
3rd plug: You can get the third plug near the professor.
4th plug: You can find the fourth plug on the treetops.  All of the plugs are being held by the thieves.

2nd orb: You can get the second orb by going to the professor. He will give you an egg which you have to throw into the nest. Then the bird will drop a seed. You have to throw it into the flower pot. The flower pot will give you a turnip which you have to throw into the cauldron. Then the cauldron will throw out a baby duck which you have to spit out at the mother duck swimming in the pond. The mother duck will throw out a golden coin which you have to throw out in the lower part of the fountain.

There aren't really any gems missing but be careful if your playstation freezes inbetween the game. You will have to reset it.

Now you think you have most of the orbs and all the treasure?
No you don't.now you have to go to these speedways:
1: Ocean speedway(summer forest)
2: Metro speedway(autumn plains)
3: Icy speedway(autumn plains)
4: Canyon speedway(winter tundra)

How do you get the orbs for each speedway?
Orb for ocean speedway: You can find the orbs only after you finish the all in one and recieve 400 gems. Then go to where all the fish are cheering and in the middle there is a fish called Queen Finny. She will ask you to race Hunter and get all the rings.

Orb for metro speedway: You can find the orb for metro speedway by flying through a waterfall. Then there is a man who is a mayor. He will ask you to help the Hunter collect the bags of jewels. You can either flame it or fly through it.

Orb for icy speedway: You can find the orb for icy speedway where the eskimos are skiing. Charge into the igloo and Hunter will ask you to fly through 50 rings. To fly through them, use the directional buttons.

Orb for canyon speedway: You can find the orb for canyon speedway by flying to where the vultures are flying. If you look carefully, you will see Hunter and he will ask you to fly in a plane and hit the balloons and blimps that fly around.

Now that you have all 64 orbs and 10,000 treasure (Do you?), you are now ready for RIPTO!!!

Ripto:
A good way to defeat Ripto is to collect the orbs that Hunter drops from the sky (In case you didn't know, Hunter is being made by the prof. and Ellora to throw orbs for Spyro and NOT for Ripto). An easy way to stop Ripto from collecting them is to charge into him or flame him. But Ripto will fire fire balls from his sceptre. This is the first round. Collect 3 purple orbs and you will have a super fire ball. Collect 3 blue orbs and you will have a super charge. Collect 3 green orbs and you will have bouncing fire balls (I find these most effective).

2nd round: Ripto will summon a very mechanical looking Gulp. This Gulp is much easier than the previous Gulp. Just defeat him the same way as before. You know, collect three orbs.

3rd round: This isn't as easy as pie. Ripto gets a yellow orb and turns it into a mechanical bird. Be careful as Ripto has turned the entire arena into lava! So don't think of diving into it!!! Just avoid Ripto by flying up and down and left and right so that he can't get a clear shot at you. Flame Ripto whenever he's near you and when you finish, you would have truly saved Avalar! You will then be transported  to Dragon shores.

Dragon shores:
This is the fun place where Spyro wants a bit of rest and relaxation. You have to play games and collect tokens from them to gain access to the dragon shores theatre. The games are simple and fun and you will have a blast here. This may probably be one of my favourite worlds. Nah! At the Dragon shores theatre, you can see movie clips from different parts of the game. Then go to where the dunking the monster game is. There will be a door which says '64 orbs and 10,000 treasure to open'. When you have enough orbs and treasure, it will open and there will be a permanent super flame powerup. Well, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and do some well deserved flaming!
Well, thats more or less the end of a cool game.
