Summer forest (Spyro 2)

Can't figure out what to do in Spyro2: Gateway to Glimmer/Ripto's Rage? This is the site that will provide you with a complete walkthrough to help you defeat Crush, Gulp & Ripto, and save Avalar!

Walkthrough of Spyro 2:

Summer Forest: There are 4 orbs in Summer forest. Can't find them?

1st orb: You can find the first orb easily by compSpyro and Hunterleting the tasks Hunter the cheetah sets for you.

2nd orb: You can find the 2nd orb, 3rd orb and 4th orb ONLY if you have learnt the underwater swimming move. The 2nd orb can be found where Ellora was first standing and where the Glimmer portal is. Just dive into the large pool and you will come out in a secret entrance. Climb up the stairs and you will find the orb in front of you! It's also where some of the gems can be found.

3rd orb: You have to reach the 3rd orb by swimming under water and coming out from the other side.then go to the left door (which is open) and you will see Ellora who will open up ocean speedway ONLY if you have a sufficient amount of orbs. Then go further up.and open the door and get the gems.but now you will notice that when one door is opened the other one shuts. So you will have to shut the first door to open the second one. If you look out of the window, you will see a ledge. Get on it and then glide to the other one from it and tadaa! The door will be open, revealing the sparkly orb!

4th orb: This is the toughest orb to get. If you go back to where Ellora is standing next to a ladder, where the Hurricos and Sunny Beach portals are, she will say "I saw something shiny up there". This is the fourth orb she is talking about. After you defeat Crush, you will go to Autumn plains where money bags will teach you how to climb up ladders. Then go straight back to Summer forest (through the small thing that goes round and says Summer forest) and you can climb up the ladder. Then immediately get the orb. Then go rushing back to Glimmer and climb the ladder and flame the lamps!

Idol Springs: Can't get ANY of the orbs and some treasure?

Spyro goes flying over Idol Springs
1st orb: You remember when you first landed into Idol Springs, you saw a pond to the left? Well, when you have learnt to swim underwater, dive in. You will find lots of gems scattered here and there. If you go directly north, you will see an opening. Swim towards it, and then swim up. You will land in a place, where you will find vases of gems. Charge into them and then go towards one of the guys from Idol springs. He will ask you to light up all the squares on that. For those of you who can't do it, here's the easy way:

1st orb: You remember when you first landed into Idol Springs, you saw a pond to the left? Well, when you have learnt to swim underwater, dive in. You will find lots of gems scattered here and there. If you go directly north, you will see an opening. Swim towards it, and then swim up. You will land in a place, where you will find vases of gems. Charge into them and then go towards one of the guys from Idol springs. He will ask you to light up all the squares on that. For those of you who can't do it, here's the easy way:

There are 8 blocks. 4 of them are yellow and 4 are blank. Ok, now there are 3 blocks in the front row and 3 at the back row.
Jump on the block in the front row towards the extreme right.
Now, jump on the block in the back row, towards the extreme right. Jump on the block in the back row towards the left.
Jump on the block in the front row to the extreme left.
The blocks would have all turned green.

The next challenge he will ask you to do is feed an idol 10 fish. That's outside the pool of water. Only flame the yellow and the blue fish, NOT the red fish.
Then he will be standing near those puzzle shaped like moons, stars and diamonds. They can be found near the steps of the place where you recieve the talisman. Just activate them according to their order and you will get another orb.

2nd orb: Go past the place where you recieve the Talisman, towards the left. Then you will see a place far off. Glide there and glide again, and you will see some Hula girls. Go and speak to the Hula girl who is tied up near the dancing Idol with the umbrella on his head. Speak to her. She will tell you to charge the hula girls pedestals, with the help of the super charge. Charge into all 6 pedestals, one after the other and you will recieve an orb for helping free the trapped Hula girl.

Missing Gems: The missing gems can be found near the water fall, that place where you got the 2nd orb and even further up, where a rocket will be placed.

Colossus: Can't find a single orb and some treasure?

1st orb: You will have to activate the spring power up.there is one in the place on the ground in which the Yeti is. Jump forward (north) and you will find your self on a piece of land. Explore a bit and you will find an opening. The professor is standing there and a black spirit or ghost like thing is floating around him. Don't bother flaming it. The professor will then say " You scared the evil spirit away..." Then you will have to go and hunt down the spirit by flaming the statues (you know the yellow ones which turned green). The statues are all over the place, so keep a sharp eye, or else you may not be able to find some. When you flame all 10 of them, you will get an orb!

2nd & 3rd orb: This is also the place in which the last statue is, (in case you are missing one) after defeating the Yeti, if you go further up,you will see 2 windows. Jump on the one on the left. After doing so you will find a secret path. If you go further up, Spyro will start to ice skate. Then go towards the step and jump up. You will see a guy called Brother Kipp. Go and speak to him. He will tell you that you will have to defeat the goal keeper in a game of ice hockey. Once you get the orb, you will have to play one on one with another player. This is not so easy. But once you finish up the game you will have another sparkly orb.
Sunny Beach: It's the sunniest beach around Summer forest! You are missing a few gems and orbs (3 orbs in Sunny Beach). So how do you get them? Simple.

Orb1: This is an orb for rescuing all the boxes of turtles. Simply flame 11 enemies and the fire powerup will be activated. Flame the boxes and then you will magically be returned back to the turtle who asked you to save the turtles and you will get your orb for all your hard work. Ah, but now you claim you can't seem to find a box. There is a special place from where if you stand on the button the door will open. And no, you can't make those big turtles come and stand on the button. And inside the door is the last crate. Ah, but you are forgetting something. You can still aim...

Orb 2 & 3: You must know how to climb up a ladder. There is a chef standing up. He will ask you to try and save the baby turtles. The second round is verrrrrrrry tough (*****all 5 stars) but with a little practice (I took about an hour or so) you will be able to free all the little turtles.

The missing gems: For one set of gems, you will have to know how to climb a ladder. Only then you will be able to get them. There is also another set of gems in which you will have to have used the super powerup and fire the box of gems. For the next set of gems, you remember that space in which the turtles can be knocked into? You know, that part filled with water. Well look in there (you did finish 2 rounds of the chef's challenge right?) and you will find the rest of the gems.

Hurricos:

I don't really think you may find anything tough in Hurricos, but still, there are those few out there...no offense

1st orb: The factory glide is a little tough in the second part because you have to be a good glider to get there. You will pass one of those Electrotts, whose name is Watt. He'll give you an orb, and then the second part of the factory glide starts. You have to really watch those spinning things carefully because the first windmill is easy enough to jump on, because it's a little slow BUT the second one is faster. So time your jump correctly, and don't forget to press triangle to hover. Then you will have to glide onto the roofs of those tunnels and you will have to glide to a piece of land where there is a wooden windmill. Then go again and jump on the moving pedestals. You will finally reach another Electrott, whose name is Spike. Go into the factory room, flame or charge the button and you will get your orb!!!

2nd orb: Ok, this orb isn't as easy to find as the factory glide one. Which is just as tough. Ok, you know the place with the supercharge portal, right? Well, if you go towards the ledge, on the right, you will see a small step in front of a piece of land. It leads to a passageway. Glide there and you will see a very troubled Electrott, who is upset because the gear grinder thieves are stealing the lighting balls. Well, your mission is to flame 'em up and restore the lighting balls to their proper places. Not so tough, eh? WRONG! You have to flame 10 of the thieves, and then you'll get some piece, or else, every two seconds, you'll hear an alarm going off. This means that a Gear grinder has removed the ball from it's place!

Aquaria Towers: And there you are, thinking your game's memory has been half wiped out because you can't find a lot of stuff. So do you really want to know HOW exactly do you get the stuff? Well what are you waiting for? GO ON!

The topside of Aquaria Towers

Right: The missing gems and orbs can be found  around here. The towers are labelled for the 3rd orb challenge.

A good tipIt's better to flame the crabs and those guys with the shocksticks BEFORE you hit the switch and flood the place with water.

Orb 1 & 2 : The location for all 3 orbs is where the talisman is being recieved. then swim up and you will see a little hole. Swim through it, and you will reach a whole new place (which you probably never guessed existed). if you swim around, you will see Hunter the cheetah and he will ask you to train his pet Manta Ray. Just say yes, and then you will be sitting on the Manta Ray's back. What do you have to do? Simple, just follow the Sea-horse who is forming the bubble rings, and go through them. You will have to do this again, as it can also be used for the 2nd orb.

3rd orb: You will find a Sea-horse, who is called King Flippy. He will ask you to find all 6 of his children. Where you wondering what those tall building like things with numbers on them were when you first started the Aquaria Towers level? Well, they are the buildings in which the children are being held captive. Just free each one accordingly to their number, and then the building with the next number will open up.

Missing gems: You remember that place near those metal sharks. But how do you flame them??? Well, near the place here you recieve the Talisman for the level, you will see a Super fire Powerup. Just pass through it and you will be able to go torch some shark's butt :)! Yeah, it works in water (just in case you were wondering)

Music news | Summer forest (Spyro 2) | Autumn plains & Winter Tundra

Ok this is the big moment.
Spyro, Gulp, Ripto and Crush
You've colleced all 7 talismans. Are YOU ready for Crush?
Aren't you scared in the least bit? Nah you don't have to because it's quite simple to defeat Crush.
He goes and stands on one of the platforms and releases blue rings. Jump over them and when the shield around Crush breaks down, go and flame him. He will hit the ground but a good WARNING: As soon as you flame him, GET OUTTA THE WAY!be sure to run as far as you can from him as the rocks that come pelting down are verrrrrry painful. He then runs to another platform. Repeat the same sequence. Now, you have taken off two points of Crush's life and suddenly all the platforms turn RED! Red is worse because when he stomps on that platform, he shoots out fire. A good way to avoid these are to charge here and there, in different directions. You will be able to avoid the fire (well to be precise they are fire balls)when he's finished again,go flame him. Repeat this for the next time.
Now three points of Crush's life (or is it four?) are gone. BUT, now the platforms are still blue but the other one's are now BLUE!!!. And he now stomps thrice. When you flame him, he will start running after you instead of just hitting his club on the ground. Running around (charging is much better)the arena until he stops is the a good idea. But, when Crush stops behind you, don't try flaming him again. Just run as fast as you can to the other end of the arena because once again, he hits his club on the ground and the rocks start to fall. Repeat this sequence again until he is dead. So now Crush is toast (as in the words of Spyro:)
Then you will arrive in Autumn Plains, the next world.
