We, the people of St. Anselm Church,

Rooted in the Faith, Hope and Love of the Gospel and the Roman Catholic tradition,

Celebrating our African-American heritage and spirit,

 Building upon the resilience that has sustained us in the Washington Park neighborhood for nearly one-hundred years,

Are called to live in the Light of Christ,  as a family of believers who care for one another and pass on our faith to our youth, care for the most vulnerable,  welcome the stranger,  and evangelize.
