HEALING SERVICE:

the Healing Service will be Sunday, June 12th at 12:30pm.

If you are in need of prayer then please join us and get anointed and prayed over. It is strongly urged that those who are in need of anointing should go to confession prior to the anointing.

St. Martin de Porres Vacation Bible School will be June 13-16, 2005, 5:30-7:30pm at St. Martins. Registration will be held today, Sunday, June 5 from 10:30am-11:30am. Volunteers are also needed to assist with the classes. Contact Angie Thomason at 732-7888 or Doris Arvelo at 781-0516.

VIRTUS - Protecting God’s Children Program: The Diocese of Charleston is implementing this program to train adults (staff, volunteers and parents) to recognize the signs of child sexual abuse with the goals of PREVENTING and PROTECTING. Adults who work with children at St. Martin de Porres should sign up for one to the following 3 hour sessions.

Wednesday-June 22, 6:30-9:30pm

Wednesday-July 20, 6:30-9:30pm

Saturday-August 13, 10:00am-1:00pm

PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Knights of Columbus Council 724 will hold a pancake breakfast on Sunday, June 12, from 8:30am to 12:00 Noon at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1623 Marion St. Cost : $5.00 per person, #12.00 per family. Please join us for pancakes, sausage, eggs, fruit and more!

 

CATHOLIC CHARITIES of the Midlands is in urgent need of men’s casual (work) clothing. We welcome donations of men’s work pants, jeans, shorts, socks, new packs of underwear (size 32-38) and travel size toiletry items. Catholic Charities clothes mostly homeless men who range in pant size from 30-38 and wear large tops. Fortunately, we have enough women’s and children’s clothing items at this time. Please call and bring donations to 1012 Taylor between 9:00 am and 1:00pm Monday through Thursday. Thank you for your help.
