| Meetings
General
membership meeting is on the second Tuesday of the month starting at 7:00
pm
and Board of
Directors meeting is on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

| Youth
Activities The Youth Committee has
started meeting on a regular basis on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each
month. Meetings start at 1:00 pm. At these meetings the
young people learn about such diverse activities
as reloading, black powder shooting, firearms safety
and archery.

|
Hunter Safety Class For
those over 16 years of age a new 1 day hunter safety
class format is being tried
out in Frederick County. You get the books, study them, and fill out a
workbook in advance. The class is 5 or 6 hours. You must obtain a
score of
80% or better to pass the
exam. Conventional three day hunter
safety classes are still being offered for those under 16 years of age or others
who prefer the traditional format. |

Range Officer Training:
You must be Range Officer
Certified to use the range. See Ben
Kelkye at 6:30 before each
monthly meeting to become certified. This is a yearly requirement! |

| Yard Sale Items are still being accepted before each meeting. The Chapter will have a fund raising yard sale later on this summer and donations are welcome. Call Ben Kelkye if you have large items that you cannot transport to the Chapter for donation. | ||
| Virginia Open Fishing
(no
license needed) first weekend in June. Call Buzz

if interested
in an overnight fishing trip on a Virginia river.

| Raffle:
The Chapter is
holding a number of fund raising raffles. The drawing for the
Remington Model 700 will be held on August 12, at the Frederick
Sportsman's Show. Get your tickets at a meeting or call Ben
