Alright, now that everyone has had ample time to suggest what changes should have been made to the initial list of top 20 alliances, this new list has been formed based on how many people wanted a particular alliance on or off the list.

And here is the list as my anti-break post, so it'll also appear on each page for easy reference.

THIS IS TOO LONG, WHY SHOULD I READ IT?
Don't, if you don't want to. Just check for the section titles and read what you care about. Check the end for a recap on exactly what I'm looking for without using too many words to hurt your poor aching head. ;)

HOW DID I COME UP WITH THIS LIST?

I took the initial list from the first The Rank Project thread, and took everyones suggestions and formed a new list from everyone's opinions.

Fortunately, the list wasn't ambiguous enough to where I needed to make personal decisions between "tied" alliances to determine who'd be on the list or not. In cases where one alliance had three votes for it, and one against it, and another had two votes for it, and none against it, I chose the one with no votes against it.

WHAT NEXT?

Now that Part I is done (selecting which alliances are top 20), here is Part II.

In this phase of The Rank Project, I ask that you all leave suggestions on what alliances FROM THE ABOVE LIST should generally be ranked BELOW the alliance currently being evaluated (today, AoD) on any top 20 list. Do not mention if you think someone is tied with AoD, or above AoD. Only say who you think should be below them. Name as many alliances as you want, from the list.

WHY ASK WHO IS BELOW ANOTHER ALLIANCE?

I'm hoping that by asking who would be BELOW AoD, rather than above AoD, this will avoid extraneous arguments about who is better, when all we really care about right now is who is generally agreed to be ranked in a certain relation to AoD.

WHY NOT JUST LOOK AT OTHER RANKINGS AND COMPARE?

The reason why I don't ask for everyone's own ranking of alliances is because that will be too difficult to fairly determine where most people put which alliances. With the method I am using, hopefully certain biases will be avoided and it will be more apparent that most people put alliance XXX below AoD, rather than most people ranked XXX about 7 or 8 where AoD was ranked between 3-5, along with many other alliances.

SO, WHAT WAS IT I SHOULD DO NOW?

1) Look at the list in the first post.
2) Think about AoD.
3) Think what alliances belong BELOW (not tied with) AoD.
4) Post here what you came up with.

IF (and only if, please :)) you are in AoD:
5) Also tell me your thoughts on why you think AoD is good/bad.

btw, this is alphabetical rankings, you aren't ranked above anyone just yet. :) And I'm going through the alliances to evaluate by alphabetical order, as well.

While I'm at it.

AoD pros:

Good pound for pound fighter. Any of the past 5-6 resets proves.

Proven to be decent gainers. Last reset proves - we even beat TheCult in avg net :o) (i'm proud of that only because I have so much respect for the cult's skills :)

AoD cons:

Poor public relations. We've said 1 or 2, uh, less memorable things on AT in the past.

Terrible starting. We ain't on the average net list for a WHILE.

Small member numbers. We aren't as big as we used to be. No recruiting coupled with lots of people leaving Earth (not too many recruited away LOL) have hurt for the past 3 resets.

thats what should be below AoD (on your list only) AoD should not be at the very top (yet) dont ask people these trick questions alot of them are too tired to think about it :)

I would not put ANY of these other alliances below AoD. AoD seems to be struggling at the moment. At a glance, it certainly looks like AoD has the lowest total NW of any on this "top 20" list. Add to that the fact that AoD currently has DOWNWARD momentum rather than static or upward, and I'd put any of these other alliances above AoD (albeit some just *barely*).

In reality, though, I can't put the league BELOW AoD. Right now, we have almost identical country makeups, slightly less average net, and greater average land. Last reset, our top 46 and your top 46 would have been almost even in average net. It's TOO CLOSE TO CALL ;)

Seriously, the alliances I consider *worse* than AoD this round are not on this list... for example RED, FA, LCN... This is a bad round for you; OLM is beating you in total NW.

And I'd probably put League in the #19 slot. We need a bit of work, but we're doing better than you this round, and you're doing significantly worse than your usual.
