Alright, now that everyone has had ample time to suggest what changes should have been made to the initial list of top 20 alliances, this new list has been formed based on how many people wanted a particular alliance on or off the list.

And here is the list as my anti-break post, so it'll also appear on each page for easy reference.

TOP 20 ALLIANCES, IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER

Note: These are NOT ranked by value of the alliance. This list is ONLY to say (in no worthwhile order) what alliances are generally considered top 20.

And I'd probably put League in the #19 slot. We need a bit of work, but we're doing better than you this round, and you're doing significantly worse than your usual.

Well, someone has to occupy the number 20 spot. :)

As for AoD, they weren't on the initial list but people wanted them to be there (and no one said they shouldn't be), so they are. They could be right on the border at 20. But we'll see what others think.

I *did* put Horizon on the initial list, but 4 people said they shouldn't be. No one (besides me, for putting them on the initial list) thought they *should* be there. :P Horizon's having a rocky start, but they'll get there eventually.

Bla, we can outfight RED and outgain FAngels. I too am surprised that Nostra isn't on this list somewhere, but losing all of those members hurt, and they haven't proven they can gain or fight without them. And PP, we have 3 less members than you and like 100k less average networth but 700 A on average more, which is WAAY more important at this stage. I really don't see any difference in the way League and AoD are playing this round. Momentum? We had 46 countries at the end of last round. We've replaced them, and are starting to gain in average net while all of our players are playing dict farmer strats for the first time.

I dunno. I'm obviously biased. But thats how I see it.

You are beating us in Total NW at the moment, but that will change because us beating you in average will mean more than it does right now...you also have 17 more members then us, but I would have to agree you cant outfight us

Perhaps AoD can outfight RED and outgain FA. But they aren't on the list. :P

Also, DrSbaitso, since we aren't mentioning ties, only alliances ranked below AoD, then perhaps when it's League's turn up to bat, they won't have anyone below them, either. AoD could get rank 19 and League 20 or the other way around. Or a different rank altogether (now I'm starting to sound like GWBush). So we'll see what people say for AoD, and League, and everyone else before the alliances can be ranked. But at least you both are on the top 20 list and no one argued against it. :)

I have a *feeling* that AoD, TheCult, ICN, and PoW will be hovering in the last 4 or 5 rank spots, with not many people really agreeing anyone should be below them. So just because AoD isn't getting a lot of support right now doesn't mean they'll be last. But that's just me, and everyone else may say differently.

I'm not talking about just scores sheet top 20. You get enough of those kinds of rankings already. :)

I'm talking about general opinion rankings. Who you think of when you think of top 20, and who you think of as generally being better or worse than another alliance. That shouldn't change from day to day.

As for PP, I said they probably will occupy the bottom 4 or 5 spots, but I didn't specify what order they'd probably be in. :)

no I mean today, the top20 alliances are this this and this, but tommorrow, you don't know what they could be... any number of things can completely change them

If you mean today and tomorrow figuratively as maybe a reset or two, then yeah. But if you literally mean today and tomorrow, or any space of time less than most of a reset, then I'd have to hope that people could at least hold an opinion of an alliance for longer than a day. :P

Good thing this will take about a month to complete, and people can at least have the ability to think outside of just "how are they performing this week?" in the meantime. :P
